If you go to hood for the summer can u get into windells park?? and what is hoods park like in the summer?? also if you go in may where excatly do u ski?

thanks help +k

technically you could, but i think u could get your pass taken away or they might just throw you out.

you cant ski the windells park without being in camp

session 1 at windells the public park was sick! 7 jumps, probably 15-20 rails, but it definitely gets worse later in the summer

people do sneak into windells park. the tip is to wear a helmet cuz all campers wear a helmet, and last year they were busting the people that werent wearing helmets .

You can poach, but it is harder these days. especially if you don't know people. You can pay a premium to ride it. You can get a "park only" pass for about $100/day, but you have to do a full session (at least that is what I have been led to believe).

My advice: just ride the public park. It will be more than satisfactory.

Public park is really good. MHSSC is cheaper than Windells, so you could go there. And in the future please spell "know" with a "w".

Session 5 the public park was pretty good but there weren't too many features. It would deffinately be worth riding though. There was a 3 jump line and like 10 rails/boxes.

yeah im going to hood to ride the public park this summer too. There public park is nice, just check out the "Another Crappy Hood Edit" i think it was called that showed it pretty nicely, yet that was from a few years ago...

you dont need to go to a camp park if your just going up there to shred for a bit. the public park is nasty early summer thats all you need

like everyone is saying the public park is super good and has so many features but if you do want to ride the windells park most of the time you can talk to the head digger at windells and he will have you help set up a feature and let you ride the windells park all day

If you do not have a Windells lift ticket and or access pass in hand then you can not ride the private lifts this year. If your hiking then you will be checked by three guys that their only job is to make sure Windells campers, staff and invited guest are the only ones using the park area. Their will be no dig to rides at Windells this year, Timberline is not allowing it.

Yes THERE IS A PUBLIC PARK

but it looks like you might not even be skiing palmer until august with all the snow we have.

Timberline is one of two resorts actually on the mountain itself. The other is Mt Hood Meadows. Timberline is the one that stays open 11 months out of the year since the upper two lifts are on a huge natural snowfield/glacier.

maybe you mean private rope tow...but there are NO private lifts anywhere on hood. Also, as far as I know windells doesnt have special tickets.. all campers get tickets labled "Camp Tix".

Also, even though they are often caught, plenty of non-campers invade the windells park.

The lane is actually private and they are serious if you are caught poaching. They will typically figure it out because the only people not tiding with the coaches are the employees and pros. I would not recommend poaching in any way. Public park is pretty good, much better than you would expect!
