Wilmot Mountain Update

Hey so I noticed that wilmot always pushes up all that snow in the parking lot, whats holding anyone back from using it in the park? i mean it beats the hell outta making snow all the time
 
thats dirty ass parking lot snow only thing i would use it for was maybe a quater pipe then have them make fresh snow over it.
 
Im a little weary of a hip espeecially because they havent worked out well before, but it could be dope so i don't know

And the rainbow idea sounds sick, could you make it so that the rainbow could be handdragged?

oh, one more, could you make the gnar bar have more of a jump onto it and not so much of a mini quarter pipe

Squirrel, a little addition for the gnar bar if possible: The only problem with it is that the transition is too fast and it isnt full. basically it goes from about 30 degrees off vertical to vertical. it's still a fun feature, but i think making a smoother tranny to vert would help, or maybe angling the abr and not going vert at all, if possible. also for the hip idea: thats gunna need ALOT of snow to be worth it lol, and isnt that too hard to maintain?
 
yeah that would take a lot of snow for the hip I think i'm going to have to put that on the waiting list for another week. yeah I hear the problem about the Gnar bar I will see what i can do.
I'm not going to have as much time tonight as i thought because the Snow Cat Timmy always drives blew a drive hose today so i have to groom all the parks includeing backstage. Also trying to find time to night to fix the jump some how. so if i do anything big it might just be fixing that tonight. all depends on time.

just got home from wilmot its 5:21am. Fixed up a couple things was a busy night last night so everything was all fucked up like always. pushed up the landing on the jump a little bit more still not the way i want it but thats a work in progress. Re did the take offs small and big. other then that it took me a fucking long time to groom the park tonight becuase there is so much stuff out. Timmy added a bunch of features on Bunny Glen. There is a hip/spin where the jump was in the glen and some other shit.
With the one Groomer broken down not sure how the park is going to get groomed for saturday. So if you planned on going saturday i would change your plans and come on sunday. Seeing that i work saturday night:)
 
great to hear seeing that i am making the drive out to wilmot this sunday morning. hoping for a fun day at the hill. hoping to see some skiers out there.
 
Today was actually really fun, the take offs were a little beat up but over all not bad! new jumps are fun, feel bad for the kid that had a seizure tho

I did a seven off the smaller of the two and landed with only one ski on the landing

I was also only able to clear the big jump once, even while straight lining in a tuck the entire time (im not what you would call large) but it was still dope

Yeah the bigger jump was pretty good but then again im bigger and the little jump kept buckin me to the right and kept sliding down the side of the landing like bklein said
 
yesterday was sick, i enjoyed the new features in the woods to the riders left. The jump was also alot of fun.
 
i was there last night for the 4:30-11 pass the long hand rail was super nice the S rail was fun the whole park was the best i have ever seen it. but the jump sucks. i hit the right side and it throws u funny because the boarders have the lip carved out, and the left side you have to bomb from the top to even clear. ohter then that the park was awsome and well worth the money.
 
here we go again the never ending battle of the jump. the right side jump should throw you torwards the middle a little bit instead of off to the side like it was before i fixed it saturday night.
 
Anything new to look forward to and get me through the week? oh and wouldit help putting the flat box at the top on a table so the landing doesnt get bombed out or would it still get bombed out even then?
 
Not sure about anything new. we talked about putting the DFD out not sure where yet. Everything is going to have to be rebuilt soon they said something about making another 2 feet of snow in the park well its cold konw. I beleve that was the plan either way that box gets so much use and is always getting bombed out.
not sure if I will be going in tommorrw night or not i have been sick all week hopeful i will feel better tommorrw.

they have so much stuff up there is no possible way everything can get shitty throughout the day. can't wait to go. is the park open during the weekday. i'm talking like early morning and such.
 
i was there today, first off everything was so prime, props to it all, the only thing i could see being fixed is having a bigger landing on the jump because sometimes i felt like i was almost coming off the side, but i understand if nothing can be done because the park is so packed as is... also wanted to say that i currently have a bruise on the entirety of my left ass check courtesy of my last failed zero spin attempt... for those who were there you know what i'm talking about
 
I have been thinking about rebuilding the whole jump again almost wreck it and start from scratch if they make the snow there talking about making. rumor has it they wanna make atleast another 2 feet of snow.
 
That would be dope

If you do could you make the inrun to the jump a little longer or the jump like 1 foot shorter because I still barely clear it

park was so much fun yesterday! Skiers were killing it!!! I could have sworn there were at least 10 of us...good to get a crew of people together to ride. I will post video of everyone sometime in the future when I have the time to put it all together.

wussy... and ya the break on my left ski pulled out so i have to get it coiled but it shouldn't be that bad.
 
thats awesome that small side was perfect. I really didn't do much to it pushed the landing up alittle bit because it was all dished out. The Take off i just pushed a little bit of snow to fill in any low spots. I'm starting to think the big side is point less.
