Wilmot Mountain Update

I belive there is. I think next they're going to start blowing snow for the Snowcross Cross on Stateline which should be tons of fun once again.
right know time is a issure i work thursday and saturday night last night i had to use this shitty Pisten Bully 200D from 1980's took me from like 11:30pm to almost 4am to groom the 3 park runs where i could have easly been done by by 2:30 in a different Groomer. so i really don't have time to build to much latley
 
i need to know if the terrain park will be open tomorrow during the day. me and skatefilly were thinking of heading out there but they didn't know if the park was going to be open. concept this question is mainly asked to you.

I believe it was closed for snow making and to re build some of the features. I haven't been there since Saturday night. Tim wanted me to come in last night to do some building but i was at devils head for chezzerfest test snowboards for the shop I work at. I will try to figure it out tomorrow.
 
as of tonight since i worked these are the rails that are out right know.

Superbox, Both C-Box's (Big & Small), Whale Tale (Roller Coaster Kicker), Rainbow, Battleship, Flat up Flat, Flat-Down Boxs, Smaller A Frame , Mail Box, in Bunny Glen there are 2 different sets of boxs. Rumor has it the S Box is done.
 
last weekend me and collin were workin on the park a bit (the park and actual skiin itself, taught collin 2 on 2 out lol) but we went to the garage to get some shit and ya its done as of last weekend and they were just waiting for the polyethylene to come in, so i would guess by now its in and totally finished. collin put a real sick paint job on it its like black and white stripped like spinning so its like a zebra but not flat. and squrrel u gotta ask collin to see his poles..... he painted them and did shit to them and they are soooo sick
 
not sure if iam going to be out there tommorrw iam going in to work tonight at 11 like always.

yeah its a alright jump i think the distance from the take off to the landing is to much for the run that its on hard to get speed. So i might push the Take off in a little bit tonight if i have time. if i wasn't always there at night i would try to get some pictures of everything but I will try to get some tonight i will just have to bring my good camera with.

Time is the hard thing cause i have some what limited time in the Groomer i use because there not letting anyone use the brand new one they got this year.
 
pics would be great man. i would really appreciate it if you could take some. i really want to try and get to wilmot this week but i don't think they have the park open during the weekdays. and that is just silly that they won't let anyone use the new groomer. what good is it if no one can use it.
 
something about limited hours on it the first year. but still it will be hard to hit the hours it it needs to stay under for the warrenty.

I was there from 11pm tell about 2:45am grooming the park and it took me just about all that time to fix what was there all this fresh snow fucked everything up. then i had to let the other guy use the groomer so sort of gay that someone isn't useing the new one.
 
yeah pictures would be really nice like me and a friend wanna go out some time this week and since wilmot is so close i wanna go and i love the rails but my buddy wants to know how the jumps are he wants to get it 720 stomped before he goes back to college and hoping it will be worth it.
 
please push back the jump... i was there on saturday( i no, not the best conditions but...) and straight lined from the top and made it maybe half way... otherwise it was sick, mail box was dope, dident know we had one of those
 
that mailbox was the first rail wilmot bought when they decided to start up there terrain park again. it was originally set up by the halfpipe (RIP). it is wicked fun and i can't wait to hit it when i visit hopefully within the next two weeks. man i feel old knowing that info.
 
I will be there this Saturday pretty much all day. Wasn't able to ride this past weekend but the weekend before that the park was sick. Make the jump poppier!(and possibly bigger :)?) Also how were the lips onto the boxes this past weekend, the weekend before there were almost barely any jumps onto the rails
 
i'm thinking about going on saturday as well seeing that it might not be that windy. hopefully it stays that way. and yes make/groom the jumps onto the rails.
 
word^ it was so windy two weeks ago. You could stand at the top of the park and the wind would sometimes be blowing you backwards. Crazy shit.
 
the park will be in its prime Sunday seeing that i work Saturday night in to Sunday morning. I have been wanting to work on the jump I might be going in tomorrow night ( Tuesday night). none of the jumps on the rails where really ride ones besides the whale tail which has to be and make the Rainbow.

I beilive there putting the S box out and rewelding one of the C boxs so its ready to rock again.
 
The whale tail would benefit greatly from not being a ride-on. Think landing on it 3 feet up where it isn't actually straight up and one might actually be able to clean the whole thing and kick off. I saw contless snowbaorders fail to reach the peak anyway. Riding straight up and over is asking for certain testicle death anyway. Same with the rainbow. Other than that I had a blast at wilmot yesterday, the rest of the park is sick. We even "hiked" to the top of state line for untouched courdoroy and the old school kicker spot.
 
as of last night. they put the S Box out, Moved the C Box, other then that it looks just as good as it has been. If i ever get there during the day I will take pictures i'm always in at night so kind of hard to get pictures of everything
 
dude i was there today and was disappointed i mean you guys have some great features but the setup is all wrong half of them are still ride on and the other half are like above the take off. Like the battleship is above the the take off and the rainbow i just bad and the coaster is the same as the rainbow with ride on. Now for the 30ft jump which has no lip and no one in there right mind would hit its to small for that big of a table and whats that thing at the end of the run is it a half build quarter or jump with no landing? You guys should make the bunny heaven a jump line rather then a roller run. I'm not trying to rag on you guys just things that i thought when i went there today.
 
how was the mailbox? Last time I was there it was absolutely perfect. A perfect streetstyle takeoff with just the right amount of pop and the perfect width for spinning on and trying new stuff. If its set up good this weekend I will be satisfied, I could literally session that thing all day it is so much fun set up that way!
 
i know it takes time and time isn't there again this season for some reason. even though there is a brand new Piston Bully 400 sitting there that is never used i still can't get the cat time i want or need. it could be like last year with no jumps haha
 
Yeah that shit sucks dude i hope the comp goes well and i hope you get enough time to fix the jumps before hand. Is there anything i can do like complain to the park manager or something?
 
Jump is fixed I had enough time last night re built the landing. and destroyed the take off that was there and built 2 take offs for it
 
heading up this saturday as usual. Any possibility of another down rail set up urban style? Something not as big as the big one, but bigger than the mailbox and set up sort of low to the ground?
 
not sure i can find out. the jump sucked last night i wish i could have worked on it last night but no time. thursday i will get to when iam out there
 
Riders today are spoon-fed rails, jibs, jumps and snow. It blows my mind how someone can bitch about something that is MADE for them today, that was forbidden everywhere in the past.
Is it perfect? NO. Will it ever be? Not if whining blathering spoiled rotten babies don't shut their stupid little twat mouths and do something about it. Now 311, I know he took matters into his own hands. Went to CO, became a CAT operator and came back to fix things and make them right.

Yes but if you will notice

Most of the people in this and others about Wilmot praise squirrel (concept) for his work

yes there may be a rotten egg

but, everyone else is oh so thankful for the work squirrel has put in

we give suggestions and input not saying, " why the fuck did or didn't you do this or that, but "do you think you could do this"

And why is doing the ladder bad? It often doesn't take much more effort If it happens great, if not ok the park is still better than ever

 
I enjoy all the suggestions everyone has given. and it makes me happy to hear that everyone is enjoying the park this year. the one bad thing about wilmot is the about of use the park gets so one day this thing could be good and the next it could be the worst thing in the park kind of hard to get around that. I know the nights that i have been working which are thursday and saturday nights I have to basicly rebuild alot of the features manily the jumps cause there just a bombed out mess after a busy saturday.
So on to my idea's
the bottom jump i was thinking of turning in to a hip if it turns out there is a ton of snow at the bottom of the park to move around and use.
next to the Rainbow i was going to make a jump with the snow they made last night in bunny glen.
Any other idea's????
and of course trying to make the landing alittle bit steeper and the take offs better for the main jump
 
any way we could get a better lip onto the flat down box? last saturday it was still sort of a flat hop onto, but something with a bit of kick would be nicer for spinning on and such. Also the kink rail at the top, could it be moved so that it is a d-f-d instead of a d-u-d?
 
yeah i can push up a better lip for it or try they may have to work it by hand alittle bit. the kink rail at there is another kink rail laying around somewhere that can be set up as a D-F-D just not sure where its at. When i talk to Doyle tommorrw I will ask about it.
