anyone live near this place or at least know if there is any good ski terrain near this place (resort or backcountry)?

thanks

yeah, i've done some work around there a few years back. doesn't look like anything special, but at least it's a ski hill.

and to further my answer to the op, if you head out to horsefly with a sled there's some definite potential for sled accessed skiing on the west side of the cariboo mountains. it'll be a long sled ride out to get to the mountains though, so not sure how viable it really is.

if you head the other way into the chilcotin ranges and bella colla area there's probably some easier accessed peaks, but almost all of it will be sled access.

Word, I stayed there for 1 night last year and was biking around for less than 15 mins and saw 5 drunk native chillin at an abandoned cabin, an ugly drunk native chick peeing in a bush right beside the main street and some other zombie looking drunk natives

I had a very similar experience, stayed overnight as well and watched a drunk native break into another natives car. The place is a shit hole. When all the natives get their band checks the locals there call it Mardi Gras because all the perpetually drunk/zombified natives come out in full force to buy more booze with their money.

Hahahaha, I know what you mean man the place is crawling with booze thirsty natives( as unpolitically incorrect as it sounds it's true)

not hard at all, I just figured the majority of NS hasn't heard of a place so far in norther BC besides the peace country and pg area kids

I love how many people in BC judge towns based on 'drunk natives'

Of course Williams Lake has lots of Indigenous people with problems, there was a major residential schools for natives there. 5 generations of stolen kids without proper parenting would give you a drinking problem. I realize everyone says things like that, but I find really sad how people use the term native in such a derogatory way in northern bc.

And OP Williams Lake has really good mountain biking and skiing isn't that far for weekends.

1. thats your opinion.2. that could be an expensive trip with gas money, and since you probably cant day trip you'd either have to live in your car or pay for a pricey ass hotel
