Why dont you boycott Wall mart they are huge compared to oil companies.

Financally wall mart is the fourth biggest country stuff that in you pipe.

Maby people shold be less woried about the price of gas and more concerned that our goverment spends 600 billion dollars a year on defence when the next closest nation china spends less than 10 billion.

Well i was just thinking that is they made 30 million litres of gas a quatar (im assuming that roughly a good estimate) and they droped the price a 1c or they sell 15 milllion litres and drop the price 2c.

just doesnt seem like they have the room
 
good point. An F-16 from colorado to iraq will burn more gas than an average family will use in a year.
 
its physically impossible for me to boycott gas and its probably the same for a lot of people, i guess i could get up at 4 and the morning and bike 30 miles to work, but it probably wouldnt work
 
i love my bike. i work two jobs during the summer, both which are 10-15 min. bike ride from home and between each other. its dope, i love my bike.

the only goal in a economy of capitalism is to make as much money as you can, fair doesnt fit in there. not to mention capatilism is whats causing globalization, and a million other problems in our society. i dont know all that much but the world is pretty fucked in 9 million different ways so enjoy whats beautiful.
 
Since The united states of america burn close to 25-30% of all the oil and gas that are being used in the world every year. It would really help to stop global warming if you just stoped youre blood for oil politic and started to do think of youre enviorment. And the rest of the world.

i'm not being selfish, i'm simply pointing out the fact that i wouldnt boycott gas

when your around gas company work all your life you know the true facts, not the ones that people assume. people think gas prices are high because of gas companies. some of it is. i get tired of people bitching and complaining about gas prices, most of the price is tax from the GOVERNMENT!!
 
i wont be driving as much as i normaly do i got a road bike so i think i will start using that to get around. i am also going to look into E85 and see if my car can run on that its about 60 cents cheeper then normal gas.
 
i actually do boycott wal mart, and it was recently said that Exxon is richer than Wal Mart, so you can stuff THAT in your pipe.
 
Its called capitalism thats how it works. If you get rich and are lucky then you are allould to make a shit load of money. If you want to live in a country where the ammount of money is restricted go to China or sweeden where any ammount over 200,000 yearly is taxed 97%.

I dont know where the fuck you are getting your information but Exxon is about 1/4 the size of Wall mart. My source is "The world in figures" by Keeshore Malbubani. Exxon my show a higher profit but they defentally do not have a larger grose income.

but you can look into alternative suel sources like WVO or using public transit to get to and from work.
 
its sad that that is what it has come down to, but thats how it is unless we start protesting and boycotting gas comapnies by switching to alternative fuels. It is going to happen sooner or later, why not make it now?

maybe what i shouldve said is that someone shouldn't be able to earn 150,000 a day. call me a socialist or whatever, but i think what they have in sweden is a pretty sweet deal. i would never live in china because of the human rights problems, and i'll never say that communism is the way to go, but there are definitely problems with capitalism, and we need some kind of reasonable government regulation on things like this. we have to get away from the "grab much too much, or you'll get nothing at all" mentality. that quote is from Kurt Vonnegut.

like ive said multiple times in this thread, that Vegetable oil is a renewable, reused, clean burning fuel that doesnt cost anything and takes profit away from the oil companies
 
Alternative fuels like say hydrogen? Too bad hydrogen is mostly produced from crude oil and natural gas. So the petroleum companies would just make more money.

There is research going on with an alge that creates hydrogen but currently you you need a field about a mile across to fuel a car for an year.

Also I dont really want to drive a hydrogen car because they have a habbit of violently expolding.

Ethonal made from corn is another solution but again the problem becomes supply and demand. You woulden be able to supply the need.

There are a lot of smart people out there and none of them have found a viable solution to petroleum. If they did it would be marketed and sold.

The key to saving money is conserving and using a combination of technologies.

Lets put it this way according to Dr. Vankirk, head of the petroleum engineering department at CSM, If a perfect system of absolute energy were to be created tomorrow it would take 50 years before all the infostructure and shipping would be changed over. Another 100 before cars were all running on this fuel world wide.

So get use to petroleum 4 or even 5 dollars at the pump is reasonable and quite a deal. If you cant afford it ride the bus or as I call it the atrium for losers.
 
The problem is that it all sounds good on paper but it doesnt work. "If it is outlawed only outlaws will survive". If there are outrageous taxes then people will find ways around them legal or not.

Making 150,000 dollars a day is his right and the position he put him self in. We have a progressive tax in america so as his money increases so does his taxes.

Again why are you worried about one man making about 54 million a year when our goverment is spending 600 billion in defence alone. More than half of the national budget. Woulden you rather have some of that money go into helping people in out own country instead of fire bombing the shit out of some arab city?
