Will rain affect my rails?

is it okay to leave pvc rails out in the rain? Will it wreck the pvc or rot the wooden frames?

it will eventually rot the wood, but the pvc will stay just fine

buy some stain for the wood, like stuff they use on decks for waterproofing and anti rot.

pvc is always fine i launch a sailboat with a trailer made from pvc and its been fine but the wood will eventually rot

just get a can of sealer from home depot like that other guy said, it will make sure your wood will be good for years and years.

the pvc will be just fine in the rain...considering it is primarily used for water pipes. Dont worry about the wood, you will get bored with the rail before you have to worry about rot.

what the fuck do you think pvc pipes are used for? transporting water adn liquids and shit they will be fine but after a long time the wood would rot for sure

my wood and pvc rail has been outside for a year and a half and its still fine. the woods a little discolored, but it still works.

mine is pressure treated wood and PVC, it sat out all winter, spring, and this much of summer, its just fine
