Enough of people arguing if its more or less dangerous than alchohal, quite simply its hard to prove either way, and people all have their opinions, so i dont really care....my question is, do you think marijuana will be legalized? and if so, when, and for just medical use, or personal use or what?

it wont until the people think for themselves instead of being told what the effects of drugs are, who the bad people are and what the real reasons are for everything the government does. But lucky for the government, most people can't think for themselves.

I am a very open-minded individual, and i can easily without a doubt say that alcohol fucks you up WAY more than weed, it's not hard to get too drunk to drive, but never have i ever EVER been too high to drive, it's just not how weed works. Weed just makes you think more in depth, alcohol just fucks you up. The reason weed is illegal is because 1. The government hasn't figured out a way to make money off it. 2. The fear campaigns that instilled horrendous lies about marijuana in the minds of everyone in the past, and the continuous show of false "facts" to the public about the dangers of weed.

Ask yourself this...If weed's so bad for you, how come the US will not allow studies to even prove that it's bad for you? So many studies of Opium have taught us SOOO much about our own bodies and how they work, and opium is a HARD drug. Why can't anyone get the right to study marijuana's effects? It is obviously a very powerful plant, not only does it have psychoactive chemicals, but the hemp that can be harvested from the plants and can be used as a very strong and durable paper, much easier to produce than paper from trees, and less wasteful.

i can definately see it coming sometime for medicinal, but i doubt for recreational use or whatever, its still smoking and i think there are too many people against the act of smoking anything (cigs or blunts) so i can't see it being straight legal for a hell of a long time

^ i think people have a totally distorted view of smoking. I'm part Native American, but I still think that everyone should take a look at the history of use of such things as mushrooms, tobacco, and cacti by the Natives of this land. They didn't use it to go out and "have a good time" or party or anything, they used it as an aid in soul searching and gaining an understanding not often reached by men. When you use such "illicit" substances in this sense, they open up a whole new world, and often times they help you to understand you, and your own soul. Even smoking marijuana helps to achieve yet another perspective on life, helping one to see life more fully rather than more and more close-minded. When you listen in to the scare tactics that our "leaders" spit out to the masses, you lose your own self and free spirit.

Truth is, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

The only one's that really have a chance right now are more moderate liberals. The extreme liberals are pushing themselves farther and farther away.

And to answer the orignal question, no. I don't see marijuana being legalized anytime soon unless if we completely change our judicial system and only count popular vote - ignoring every place except the biggest cities in usa like la, san francisco, philadelphia, etc.

the only way i could see it happening would be for everyone to campagine the fuck out of weed and in a few years to bring it to congress or something, but since that will never happen i dont think the legalization will either

I think that's the site... they sold marijuana seeds on the internet and used proceeds to move towards legalizing it.... If you are interested go to their site and donate. Also watch the Documentary "Weed" Or show it to someone who doesn't smoke weed or is against it. It unveils the mysticism of the plant and it shows how good it can be for our society. I saw it for free on On Demand for Comcast.

The legalization of Weed will never happen, due to the gov't and the fact that as a crop it will over take all tobbaco products and as a medicinal drug it works to well(sorry about my spelling). To many rich and powerful people don't like it and it will never happen simply due to greed
