Healthcare bill, will it pass? i watched fox news, they are claiming victory. i watched msnbc, they told endless sob stories. i watched cspan, it was boring as hell. i looked on msn.com, it said the president failed. i watched CNN, they rode the fence way to hard. i watched cbs, and wondered if i would hit it with katie corik. But i honestly dont know if it will pass or not. The media has me beleiving it will not pass.

What do you think NS?

you know what. let it pass. especially if it passes in reconciliation.

you can kiss that majority goodbye queen Nancy.

im pretty much ready to let the democrats have their day in the sun. im young, anything they fuck up can be fixed by the time i join the working class. hehehe go for it boys!

health care reform is soooo badly needed. its completely fucked right now. but this bill is no good. obama and the dems needed to stop being huge pussies and just done what they wanted to with it instead they tried to compromise a shit ton and its just a complete boondoggle now.

i thought this country was founded on compromise? we are supposed to work together, and get passed the partisan politics of washington. Obama transcends all.

no one in charge can compromise worth shit. its just a huge battle between dems and republicans. come to think of it they cant even agree with each other. our country is doomed. fuck this im out.

My personal view "the world owes no one a living"-unknown. health care is a privilege not a right. Argue with me all you want but thats my view.

so i think we can agree for the most part that this bill will not pass. either due to beauracracy, compromise, and/or negative publicity. I get the feeling it's already over, thanks to cable media outlets, and by that i mean fox news.

or i could be wrong and it passes.

Pretty fair and balanced coverage of the bill by our esteemed cable media networks. You have to have MSNBC and FOX blaring at you from dual screens, but in the end, balances out.

a form of this bill will eventually pass.

but it will probably be just some watered down bullshit that doesn't really help anyone.

Our government system resembles that of post-revolutionary Russia. Seriously. The inability of their early parliament to get anything done really looks similar to Congress's inability to do anything without fear of the repercussions in the elections.

Think about it; Healthcare has been the primary issue that they've been working on for a year.

That said, I think it will pass, albeit in a smaller and less all-encompassing form than before. What people don't realize is that once the bill passes both the House and the Senate there are going to be a series of revisions that will ultimately change the way the bill looks. The issues will be reconciled. The bill will pass, I think.

But it's going to mean either Republican domination this fall or a huge Democratic victory. But nothing in between.

haha i love the "watched cspan, it was boring as hell" and "watched cbs, wondered if id hit it with katie couric"

This country's been a partisan shithole since about 2002, our democracy is a joke at this point. But hey blame it on president, like the budget crisis, that was probably his fault too.

just a general point. has there ever been a "beloved" president who did everything right?

nope, most famous governments in the past (everywhere, not just the U.S.) were big time spenders and accumulated debts. someone with an actual plan on stabilizing and restructuring the country will always risk failure.

with that being said and not too much knowledge of this specific situation, i just somehow admire obama that he is at least trying to change something. i guess he already knows that he cant do what he wants, but he could go on and spend money to satisfy anybody just to become a good rating in 2100's edition of "people of the century".

i cant believe for example that people are screaming for bush to come back sometimes. he pretty much put the big pile of shit together that this black guy has to shovel away right now. major financial crisis, foreign policies desasters,..... obama never had a chance.
