I just got my papers for my mammoth season pass for next year:-) I am moving to SoCal, and I figured a pass to mammoth would be an essential thing.

Dammit, is sucks here. It keeps snowing also, except my ski area has been closed since the end of march for some fuked up reason. But it just keeps dumping down. Up in the mountains they got 15 inches on Friday night alone and it was snowing all weekend. Can't wait for the road to open up so I can get to all of teh backcounrty!

We got hardly any snow over here this year to start with.

But the dryslope season never ends! Not a huge jump, but $10 a day for year-round riding ain't bad:

im pissed. the pipe is perfect but the lower mountain is too scetchy and they need to close for a week to do annual work on the gondi. oh well end of skiing means start of biking, and thats fun shit. my goal for the summer is dropping a 20-25 foot rock cliff. launched off it when i was 5 and the snow made it a 5 foot cliff but im ready to rape that bitch this summer

ive done 12foot to flat off bridges and shit in the bike park here in the summer. 20 to a landing shouldnt be that crazy. ill need a new bike to stomp it though

Good on you brother - I max out at 7 feet to tranny in the bike park here in Whistler. The biggest we have in the park is about 10 feet to tranny if you hit it with speed - there is a bit of a lip to it, so its really more of a really big step-down.

Yeah - those skis are totally trashed - huge gouge down the middle of one and a big section on the edge is down to the edge mounts - I just top the gouges up with epoxy after about every 10 trips to the slope because the surface wears the epoxy down. They are delaminating on the one edge too, which I kind of fixed but I know it's just going to break one day. And I crashed head-on into the big air mattress at the bottom of the jump about a month ago and bent the tips on both. Like I said, they are beat to shit, but they still get the job done and it means I can keep my V-Pros nice for the snow.

 
yeah man i can see the gouge, it looks like a core shot, its all brown. its good though, doesnt really matter on dryslope does it? no moisture. and does that stuff eat away at your bases and edges a lot? it seems like it would be really abbrasive and you would have to keep lots of wax on your sticks.

Yeah - in that photo it's a bad p-tex repair. I ripped all that stuff out and filled it with epoxy putty. The surafe doesn't harm your skis too much, but the epoxy I use gets worn down, so I have to top it up now and again. It does matter on dryslope having smooth bases because there is more firction that on snow - I noticed a big difference when I fixed up my skis a few weeks ago. I used some special dryslope wax last week bt didn't notice much difference, but it could have just been because it was very hot/dry so the slope was stickier than normal.
