heyo,

last year i rode size 174 rossis that were center mounted. i am now considering buying a pair of 171 ninthwards and doing the same. i was just wondering if i would really notice it at all or if it would make the ski feel much shorter with this 3 cm difference.

Thanks

Travis

3cm? Well you'll probaly notice it at first but in no way will it interfere with your riding, and eventually it'll feel the same as your 174s

i actually did the same thing this season, my new skis are 3cm shorter too (but different dimensions). I dont think it will matter too much, it really depends more on how the ski rides than a length difference that small.

same i went from 172 to 169 cuz i didnt think i could step up to a 179 or 181, u will notice a slight difference in the beginning but it will be cofortable after a day or two, plus i feel like i could get my grabs better...it could be that the ski was lighter though

u will notice people calling u out for having little bitch skis. if ur a decent skier and over 5'5'' i 'usually' recommend the biggest a company sells. it looks better, u ski better, and ur stomp factor, especially switch landers are on the maximum supreme.

you wont notice. my ski size went up 18cm over last summer and i didnt get any taller and i didnt see a huge difference when i skiied. it just takes like 1 day to get used to. but if theres a 3cm difference theres no way you will notice

There's no way you'll feel a difference. I went up 20cm last year and couldn't tell a difference. If you start the season out on them you will adapt to them no problem and won't tell a difference at all, besides graphics.

the problem is,you and a whole lot of other people have forgotten how small a centimeter is.go take a ruler and look how short 3 cm is,and then you should know if it will be even noticable,,let alone make a difference
