Will i be able to handle 177 karmas being 5'9" and 130 pounds....

Abso-fuckin-lutely not!

I'm 5'9" 165 lbs. I do freeride and XC cycling every other part of the year that I can't ski.

I ride the Karmas in a 177, and I wish I would have gotten them in a 172.

They're killer skis. Great all-mountain, super-stable, they bust through the crud, and when mounted at or near the FS line they mach down the hill riding switch.

However... they're STIFF, not Head Mojo stiff, but damn close. You could ride 177's a scream all over the hill on groomers, but if you want to get into some dicey terrain you're going to want to be able to keep them under control. At your weight I'd suggest the 169, unless you're going to fill out some, then I'd go for the 172.

Cheers!

My bad... I was thinking of a different ski when I said 172... the Karma goes from 169 to 177, and I still say... go for the 169.

They're stiff enough to be stable, despite being a tad short. You're not going to have them fold up on you like a soft ski does.

im 6'3 170 and i ride the 185's and they are perfect for me. for you probably the 169's but u could easily handle the 177's it just depends on what you are goin to be doing. they are stiff skis so just keep that in mind.

dude im 5'9" 145-150ish and i got a pair of 169's from the first year i want 177's...wanna trade haha? GO FOR THE 177!!!

177 would fit you perfectly. Unless you want to butter and need a softer ski, that is. But if you wanted a buttery ski you wouldnt be getting karmas anyway right? So go with the 177

Don't listen to him. I'm 5'10 155 and I ski the 180 Liberty Stealths and they are perfect. If you are a good skier than you can handle them they'll just take a day or two to get used to them
