14623315:partyandBS said:yeah unless your on an actual 2x4 (its been done lol) you can butter just about any ski. each and ever faction ski including the mono ski has been used to spread some butter across the globe. sounds like you’ll be the next to do it!
14623353:Bernah said:I dissagree, champ
14623352:Bernah said:Well lets say you have boots that dont fit well, makes buttering a challage thats a fact. If you got little 6 flex fulltilts your ganna flex the boot before the ski you dumb fuck.

14623559:J_Mendez2001 said:You should be able to butter any pair of skis, the question is how much effort do you want to put into the tip/tail to get it to flex, which in turn changes how much the ski will pop back when the butter flicks under. For example, there is a reason that a lot of kids learning butters on vishnus(other crazy flexy skis like blends have a similar problem) just do nose/tail presses while spinning but don't actually use the extra pop coming from the ski flex to do the butter pop. Whereas someone on super stiff skis has to try much harder to get the ski to flex, but once they do it usually rebounds quite a bit more actually adding a lot of pop and getting you higher off the ground. some materials/age of skis changes how much they pop as well, but generally if you have to put more force into a tip/tail to butter, then the ski will pop more because of the higher force input, and greater strength in the materials to take their original shape(straight) again. But in my experience, i've owned vishnu wets, line twalls, armada al dentes, and multiple armada pipe skis, and I have been able to butter all of them in multiple well and not well fitting boots, it is just a matter of how fast you have to be going and how hard you have to lean/push into the butter. Personally I like something that is a bit stiffer because i can hold the flex a bit longer and have more time to balance in my pop, but it really is more of a personal preference i think.
