Will dying my goggles melt them?

So i have dumont splices that im dying black, and i have seen the tutorial and my mom is flipping out saying that if i dye them with boiling water, the goggles will melt. So my question is, will they?

nope. just make sure you take out the lens and take off the strap before you dip them (i hope that went without saying).

bump has anyone done it with splices and do you leave it boiling while doing it or do you lower the temp?

the water has to be under boiling

Follow the instructions on the box of dye and you should be good to go FYI there's a good chance that black dye will come out purple or brownish looking if you don't dye it multiple times
