Wildland firefighting

I’m wondering if anyone else works in wildland fire over the summer, I’m doing it this year and so far it’s a helluva way to pay for a pass, new shit, etc

My hat is off to you.....,. I have had a few friends do this and it is insane(can be when the fire season is burning) most of them did it for a few seasons and really enjoyed it. One has stuck with it and made a career of it, other used it for experience and are either in the local fire department or climbing power lines. It is a great experience, hard work but very rewarding. Please be safe and thank you again!
 
I really have this a lot of thought and was going to pursue it but after talking to a couple fire captains at my J.C I found out I could become one but I would have a hard time finding employment with a criminal record.
