Wildcat or Attitash?

Hey I'm going up to Wildcat and Attitash for 3 days. Just curious but what one would you recommend over the other. Ideally I'm curious to know what one is better on a pow day.

Wildcat has more of an old school ski mountain feel and shorter lift lines, Attitash/Bear Peak has a more new school feel, with a bit longer lines, but more trails to choose from. Both mountains offer pretty awesome vertical terrain.

Just got back from Attitash saturday and Wildcat today. Pretty much refrozen icy groomed or crusty ungroomed. Wildcat's got some natural trails/ungroomed up top but the quad was closed due to wind so we couldn't get up there. Both should (better) be blowing alot so hopefully conditions wil improve.

For park Attitash had some jibs the bottom of Bear Peak; small hip then 3 jib options; flat box or flat bar, down bar or Aframe box, flat down box/short urban round downrail/flat down rail. They're having a rail comp on 12/29.

Wildcat just had 3 flat boxes but they were pulling them when we left and their website says they're doing a full rebuild for the rest of the week.

Pow day..Wildcat all the way 2,100 vertical w/super fast quad (7 min) great terrain really fun with fresh snow. Just saw there's supposed to be a storm coming mid week.

Wildcat by far. I love that mountain, although 'Tash has a great park, Wildcat got tons of snow lately, their park is well spaced and well thought out, or at least last year's park was.

I'm headed up to wildcat either thursday or friday for 3 or 4 days if you want to ski. wildcat has some GREAT tree skiing and it looks like they're getting a storm. shoot me a PM if ya want

Wildcat is generally less crowded than Attitash. Wildcat also generally grooms significantly fewer runs than Attitash. Wildcat is also at a higher elevation so they generally get more snow than Attitash in the same storms. All signs point to wildcat for a powder day.

Park and groomers are a different story...

Real Snow so far this season:

Wildcat: 51" Attiash: 20"

Hmmmm thats an easy one. WIldcat got hit pretty hard last night with snow and we're getting more snow tonight!! Not to diss attitash because I love that mountain too but Wildcat is the ONLY place to be on a powder day. It was beautiful out there today. Could still find some fresh powder at 3pm. Cant wait for tomorrow, its going to be amazing.

depends what you're lookin for. if you wanna ski a lil park Attitash has that along with trails to actually ski. i'm not sure but i think Wildcat has more open and probs not even a park.

if you really wanna ski wildcat you gotta get some regulars to show you all the hidden woods. you'd be surprised how many hidden glades there are even within the boundary line. on a pow day, definately wildcat, so much good terrain even under the lift. solid 10' drops and even a couple pillow lines.

attitash is going to have a decent park this year, in the attitash park thread they said they're building two jumps today. if you wanna hit a park, go attitash, if you want good terrrain, wildcat.

another thing to not, a ticket is valid at both.
