WILD MOUNTAIN FIRST TO OPEN IN US

stoked to ski Wild next weekend, but once everywhere else is open then i will remember why i don't want to be in minnesota

so why are they the first place to open? did you guys get lucky with just cold enough weather to make some snow?

and i'd rather ski a little patch of snow than not ski at all.

jesus christ what the fuck happened to this community... where's the love? does no one else find it dope that the midwest is opening before the west? stoke factor has been multiplied by 10

you can have your macbook and newschoolers, id rather have that shitty little box

How can people honestly hate on a resort opening early. I dont care if its a 20 * 10 strip of snow id be shredding that shit all day.

you know what's up. yeah wild and troll (two resorts in the same approximate area) usually get snowmaking around now, and always open super early. it rocks! I guess it really is the area...

>crush up ice

>sprinkle on lawn

>put skis on lawn

>yay my house was second to open

#getatme #dealwitit #hatersgonnahate #whyyoumadtho #obama2012

stoked fer saturday, and troll is like another hour north of wild mountain. also to all the west skiers that are rippin on us about real snow, your all a bunch of spoiled little powder whores.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA so true, fuck you ontario...

on another note it snowed a little at my cottage so hoping it will start actually snowing soon

i love that people get stoked to ski that. not joking at all, people love sking that hard that they cant wait to ski 8 feet of vert.

That said we are still a bit from snow falling seriously here in oregon, im losing my mind right now. gimme my bachy

It's still skiing and for Minnesota to have a place open in October is amazing I wanna see any mountain rider come out and. Ride -45 degree ice in January. True we love mountains and wish we had them but seriously at least we get to ride no matter how small we still shred

and just a little heads up to all you fucks....our season never ends here in Oregon. yea, go fuck yourselves, not to mention storms dumping 2+ feet left and right. it might not be as dry as some but we get more of it

why are you so butthurt? cant people just be stoked about a hill opening up rather than hate and talk about how much better their own hill or mountain is?

its funny that every year there is so much hype about abay and loveland opening but as soon as its a 'resort' outside of Colorado, the thread is full of hate

Well fuck I thought Sunday river was going to get it this year for the country. I'm pretty confident we are going to open this Saturday. We start blowing snow tomorrow.

Its not that bad. I ski 10+ days every year in summit county and the cascades are so much better. All you guys have is ice with an inch dusting. I waist deep pow a couple times a year

Yall a buncha haters, hatin on the nicest state in the country. Sounds like a lot of jealousyyy hahaa we get to ski and have fun with our freinds! Whew Minnesota!!

this. Pretty suprised by all the negative responses in this thread, everyone in MN has to be stoked on this and they should be! I'd kill to be able to session a few small features or simply to be back on snow in general.

Actually.. Afton Alps is a river valley off the St. Croix River.. don't hate, its one of the most fun places i've ever skied! not to mention I grew up there!

that's what the setup was??

everyone who is saying stuff like "this isn't a resort, anybody could set that up" is obviously a spoiled little bitch. I will be lucky to have something like that 2 and a half months from now.

all the haters are nothing more than spoiled, rich, pussies.

Last week I threw a cup of ice on the ground as I was walking, and stepped on some of the ice cubes. I guess that means I was the first place to open this year....

I love when people from the PNW complain because colorado doesn't get that much snow when all they ski is summit. Go to buffalo pass, irwin, wolf creek or silverton all get over 400 inches a year (buffalo pass gets 500 and irwin gets 600) Just wait till a year like 2004-2005 rolls around when wolf creek gets 600+ inches and hood gets 200 then maybe people from the pnw will stop bragging.

btw not all people from the pnw brag just some

Sure it may be minnesota, but did YOU ski today? Nope, so keep your negativity to yourself, any skiing is fun.

Anyone know what the outlook is for staying open for a while? Ill be back on Monday, hopefully I can hike wild or troll

Summit county, for the most part, gets almost 50 inches less snow. Even in eagle county I would rather have 350-400 inches of cold smoke than 600 inches of sheetrock confetti.
