Some girl got pissed when somebody said it today, which is why I ask. I never thought of it as offensive, hence the curiosity. And no, I'm not retarded.

you mean like calling your girlfriend that? i guess its like calling her "the old lady" in a way. we need a vagina in here
 
i kind of find it sweet... but at the same time, when your boyfriend's friends start calling you "the wifey" it kind of makes you feel that they have some kind of resentment for your boyfriend hanging out with you so much.... or not too.

I think its cute - my dad used to call my mum 'wifey' before they split. Even wrote it in birthday cards and stuff....

If a friend of mine called me that i wouldn't mind, i'd call them 'hubbie' but from a stranger its sexist...
