I just watched wife swap for 5 mintues.... and it pissed me off. In those 5 minutes I watched some "Jesus freak" of a woman storm into a 7 year old's room and rip up all her pictures of her Hindu deities (Hindu gods/goddesses for those of you who dont know). And to top it off, the whole time the christian woman was yelling "its time to stop believing in fairy tales".... WTF!!!!!

No offense to all the christian people on NS, but that is just messed up. Making some little girl cry and saying her religion is a bunch of lies and fairy tales...

 
Every time i see that show i rage so hard because seemingly every time they have a retarded religious fanatic whore of a wife bitching at everyone.
 
I absolutely hate when some stupid, overzealous, 'holier then thou" cunt decides to represent christianity in such a way. Anyone ever tell her that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar?
 
the only episode of that show i have seen was one when this huge fat women started preaching about jesus and then ran home and yelled at her daughter.

best episode of wife swap I ever saw was when the swapped a crazy hippy lady with some rednecks from kentucky. It was so damn funny when she entered the house and saw all the trophy mounts

im christian, and that is just fucked up. i take no offense whatsoever, people need to learn to accept others. what they believe in is just as sane, or insane (depending on how you look at it) as anything else
its people like that, that taker every word literally out of the bible, and then improvise on their own, and that dont know how to live a healthy mixture of faith, decency, open mindedness, and a set of common and accepted morales that give religion a shitty name

yea one more reason why to not watch shows like that. its kinda gross that ppl watch that religiously, whatever floats your boat i guess. but to play with someone's religion is kinda crossing the line...
 
exactly. I was raised catholic and believe in God and everything, but I don't go shoving my religion down anyone elses throats or criticize what they believe in. There are different religions for a reason.
 
ok im sorry some of us Christians are like this i am a Christan. but like in the origins of the bible thread there was one kid who was fucking nuts. saying every one is going to hell and will suffer, as a christian i belief in god and if you don't cool do what you want i don't care. as i said on ns before if you want to lean anything about god you can pm me i will talk to you, if you want to try to argue with me about it, don't i will not respond i don't care what you people belief im ok with it. remember not all Christians are like that there still are some normal people around.

from my point of view all he did was point out that not all christians are eccentrics. he also said he was open to explaining his beleifs but didnt want a bunch of messages ridiculing him for them.

i would say he seems fairly level headed from what I just read. maybe your the one thats a few berries short in your basket.
 
ah, i suppose it could have been layed out a little better. i thought you were referring to what was said, not how he said it.

I think people who hate on organized religion and try and shove atheism down peoples throats are no better than the crazy biblethumpers who beleive anyone not associated with their religion is going to burn.

people need to learn to respect peoples opinions, and realize that different opinions isnt nessesarily a bad thing. but of course that will never happen.
 
Except the atheist/agnostic side is right and the religion side is wrong...

Something as wide-spread and important to society as religion should be questioned more than anything else.
 
I believe that it is really just a personal choice to what you believe in and trying to jam it down eachothers throats, to who is right and who is wrong is just ignorant. i am a christian but by no way am i going to force my beliefs upon someone else who does not share equal beliefs. But i am all for listening to people and finding out why they believe what they do and sharing the same from my side of things. if what i had to say helps influence someones beliefs, cool im glad i could do that but if not i am not going to be phased or anything. after all we were given free will for a reason.
 
Can you prove god exists? No.

Can you prove god doesnt exist? No.

Will this start a shitstorm? Maybe.

Should it? Not if people realized that caring about other's personal beliefs is a huge waste of time. You wouldnt care if someone had a different favorite movie than you, why care about this? That being said, anyone who thinks they can tell me what to believe can eat a dick, strictly because they have no right to do so.
