theres a panel above the stairs in my house that I always slap before I ever go skiing. Never missed a beat. 100% positive that if I don't I will get injured.
mmmmmm i am not from oregon so I just do it when I go up with my buddy. He follows it, so I do too. I see you are from boring. Theres one hell of a strip club there. lol
ive got a lucky rock that i ski with. some guy in utah gave it too me and told me i cant hurt myself with it. its stupid, but i always keep it in my pocket
I know its all stupid but i always put my right sock, boot and ski on before the left one (no, i dont put my right boot and ski on and then start putting the left sock on.) My ski designs are different, so i have a left and a right ski, if i mix them i usually fail on rails (might have something to do with slightly differently tuned edges tho).
i used to always put the same ski on the left and the same ski on the right but then i realized that my front ski edges were destroyed so i dont do it anymore...
nervous is inevitable though. If you're standing up at the top of the run-in for a jump preparing for your first flip you're going to be nervous. It's about confidence and overcoming the nervousness and just fucking sending it.
Back in the day when I went to Windells like 8 years ago my buddy would purposely talk through Silent Rock. He'd be like "what.. why's every so quiet" really loud and just have conversations with himself trying to hold in the laughter at the same time. Some drivers didnt really care but there was this one superstitious driver who freaked. He couldn't believe he talked thru it, and on purpose. He face looked as if the world was coming to an end. He was like despising my friend the rest of the ride, thinking he was a some king of curse. Telling all of us how it was a mistake or something being friends with my friend. It was ridiculous .
Funny thing is my friend broke his arm the next day, ahaha.
And I got stitches in my knee from bmxing after coming down from the mountain and talking through Silent Rock the day before.
