What are your thoughts on riding wide skis in the park? (like 100mm wide or more)

I rode park for all of last season on Blizzard Peacemakers and had a blast, rails were not actually as bad as imagined, could get swaps and pretz with a 104 mm ski. I recently bought a pair of Volkl kinks to try out in the park but instead sold them because i liked the fat style

Lol 98mm isn't that wide of a ski. Especially for today's park - ski standard.

I think they're super fun, even rode a pair of old beat up Moment Night Trains as a daily midwestern stick for a season. 50/50s, surface swaps etc.. find their way into your style of riding more and more (not saying it's a necessity to have wide skis for this). 844527.jpeg

I ride my Surface Outsiders (110 underfoot) in the park sometimes. After a few runs rails feel exactly the same, but jumps take some getting used to (Though I suspect that's cause of the rocker, not so much the width).

I wouldnt reccomend it if you're the kinda guy who loves swaps, 4s on, cork 9s, etc. But I personally love surfing around on them.

i learned swaps on my outsiders, the only difference ive ever noticed is that theyre more stable on rails than my 90 underfoot pair. landings are a little shakier too but thats cause im a backseat bandit and i wash out on the rocker.

I've watched my friend 3 swap a flat rail on shreditor 102s so yeah I think they have their place in the park

So much fun. I got a pair of 101 L-Toros and they're a lot of fun in the park. And then you can actually ski the rest of the mountain

Last year I rode moment pb&j's(101) in the park and they were super fun, this year however I'm stepping up to a 105 underfoot pair of revision blinks so that will be fun.

Almost all the travelling circus guys use the blends (100mm underfoot) and they do some super cool shit.
