Wide Lens.

Hi all, looking for a new wide lens. (Trying to get out of kit asap because I prefer manual everything lol) My budget is $150 and under, I know that's very low but that's how much a kid in high school can afford. Also I need it for Nikon mount if that makes it any different. Thanks in advance!

How wide we talking?

If you like going all manual, you should look into some old nikon lenses, but that won't really fill you wide lens void.

for $150 you might be able to get a used first gen tokina 11-16mm nikon mount on ebay/craigslist/keh if you hunt hard enough. Not sure what cam you have but the 11-16 can be used for both APS-C (11 through 16mm) and even for full frame (~15-16mm)

Not really too sure how wide to go for skiing.. Personally I was thinking under 20mm for aps-c... (1.5x crop) but then again I want to upgrade to full frame in the future so something decently wide on aps c but also fits full frame would be ideal.

finding a wide full frame lense that cheap is probably not going to happen, but you could definatly find something used for the crop sensor

Thanks that's good to know, do you have any specific lenses in mind? I've run out of ideas.
