does anybody have any wide brakes for some axial2 rossignol's?

does anybody have any wide brakes for some head mojo 15's?

and sorry, but i wont be able to bend the brakes when i buy atomic thugs next year (hopefully...)
 
i was gonna bend my brakes, but the guy at my shop told me that if u bend them, they become lose and floopy like a 57 year old prostitute. so skiing switch and hittin rails would be a problem cuz the brake could catch. is this true?? i had to buy wide brakes for my invaders, and idno if i need wider for anthems.
 
If you have big mountain skis (120 waist) then just go no brakes, the brakes won't really make a difference. Get leashes, or if you are that good, crank down the DIN all the way. If you aren't that good then you will probably need to bend the shit out of wide brakes anyways, so just tell the shop that mounts them to do it.
 
First and foremost: I am not trying to make this personal, just difference of opinion.

You are skiing something 120 in the waist, and he already has PEs and MSPs, so he is probably using this for bc/heli skiing. You don't need to follow resort rules if you aren't at a resort.

I also don't understand what you mean in the first part when you say "[He] wants to be as far away from his ski as possible when he releases."

Brakes are hardly going to make a difference if you are skiing steep powder; if the ski starts sliding, it might slide 10% slower with brakes than if it didn't have brakes.
 
he was trying to say that if he had leashes and those skis released while on steeps.. he could get hurt bad.. 120 width skis will most likely be pretty heavy and those things swingin around on your feet while rolling down a hill could end up pretty bad..
 
Sorry, I meant the ribbons that you attach to your ski and tuck in your pants, so that when the ski detaches you can find it again; not one of those old pro measures.

Cranking down the DIN all the way isn't unheard of; there are some situations (especially when skiing bc) where having the ski come off is worse than possibly cranking an ankle/breaking a leg. Why do you think they make bindings up to 30?
 
im almost positive that my resort doesnt require brakes. and if they do, i could get out of getting into trouble because i work there. i will be using the ski for mostly inbounds and hopefully some more bc skiing than last season. i want to have brakes because of when im putting on my skis on a groomed slope and stuff like that. the tape thing sounds like a good idea, but that will be last resort. but you think that i should crank my din. since i could always go back to and use my 4frnts, id rather lose a ski and lose a season. in any bc situation, id also rather lose the ski than brake a leg. if i break my leg, then its atleast $500 for ski patrol to come and get me out. proformed skis shouldnt be over $400.
 
i saw the tyrolia brakes on evogear, but i dont really want to spend that much if someone just has extra wide brakes lying around.

So, if anyone has wide brakes for mojo / axial2 / s912's then i would be happy to buy them off you.
 
If it is a lot of resort skiing, then don't crank the DIN. I personally am opposed to cranking the DIN (even if it's hard to tell) unless it is absolutely necessary. I think you should bring the shop wide brakes and see what they can do with them, I would be suprised if they couldn't be bent far enough. Sorry to hijack your thread...

i dont have wide brakes, thats what im looking for. are you talking about the standard brakes?
