Wide brakes

Since it usually takes more time to get a response in the ski equipment forum, i'll ask here. i have a ski with an 88mm waist. should i bend the brakes or get wide brakes. also has any one had any bad experience with either wide breaks or bending breaks?

i really cant see the advantage in bending breaks...i had wide breaks and they worked fine, plus there inexpensive, 5 bucks or something like that

here's a description of the bindings from the website i'm looking at:

"Comes with 100mm wide brakes to fit powder skis and 6mm pro lifters"

does that mean that the brakes are meant for up to 100mm and would that be too much for 88mm cause i don't want the brake to hit the snow when i carve

no i got the 100mm wide brakes with my px12s for my pollards (86 in the waist) and they work fine, no worries about carving or anything
