The fisheye is great for close up for rails, but if you are shooting anyone who is a way in the air, I think you loose out on a lot of detail. A fisheye by cinematic definition is a lens that is 3mm or wider. The wide angle lenses used on most film cameras used for the big companies is either a 5.9mm or a 5.7mm, so even though it does distort the shot and make it look all dope, it's not quite as wild as the fisheye lens atachments for a digi. I shot some stuff on a GL3 with a fisheye this winter in aspen for the PBP jibfest and the rails came out super dope looking, but on the jumps the skiers seemed to look like a little dot in a big sky. But thats just my opinion... of course I could be wrong
