the skate style giro encore is a sick looking helmet (see RED shaun white). its on the website, in the catalog, but no shop seems to know shit about it. what the fuck is up with this helmet? midseason release?

I've tried one on, it wasn't as comfortable for my head as the trace, but still a good bargain helmet. Better than the Bad lt.

I'm pretty sure i looked at one of those in a shop, if it's the one I'm thinking of. It was pretty much a skate helmet - pretty thin foam and a plastic shell, didn't look like it would take as much impact as a 9/G10/etc.

duuuudeee...dicks sporting goods has them...i just went there to check out their sales and i tried one on...very comfortable....i ended up going with the giro 540 because it was only 49.99 and it was pretty light....the encore was 69.99 but was nice....

finally found it. it actually sucks, sorta. its bigger (thicker) then the RED HiFi. definitely not lowprofile. not bad but if it was small like the trace it coulda been sick

I noticed that the Encore was what Tanner rocks in the Pipe. At first i thought he was sponored by some one else but then i found out it was the Encore. Mad helemt i was gonna get it but it looks to parky and i really just wannna ski park and style mad lines with 3s. Nick

nope check their site www.giro.com under snow, helmets then you'll see it classed as big mountain. (Might have been DH bike helmet when they first designed it but now the vents are closed to keep ya warm in the snow)
