why is it that we want our sport to get reconized on the same level as snowboarding. getting reconnized would just create tons of posers and our sport would be left unoriginal and boring. Its like when a band you have liked for a long time starts to become popular everyones saying 'they're the shit'' and it pisses you off because you liked them years before anyone else

the sport is set to go big, but even thought there may be tons of posers with their parents credit cards and can't pull shit, the one thing that seperates them from us is your style. go out to the mountain, work on your steeze and be known for your own sick style, not trying to play off everyone.

If the sport gets bigger, which it will, then there will be more money to improve the sport in all aspects. The more popular it gets, the more people will be progressing it. Sure there will be a lot of 'posers' but there will also be more innovators. Don't be afraid of progression.

Who cares if there's posers? You arent forced to talk to them or hang out with them. When a band I like gets popular and everyone else likes them I'm happy because people finally figured out what I was talking about years ago.

Listen, there will always be posers. There are posers in skiing, there weren't 2 years ago. there are those fucking stupid cliches, aboiut pot smokin skiers, talkin like 1970's surfers. But thats what freestlye should be about. Doing whatever the fuck you want, and not caring about other people thinkn. We are out there to have some fun, and to express ourselves. Posers don't express themselves the same way, because they have nothing to express, except some shallow ignorant idiotic ideas. A real skier, will never diss another, because we come from the same place.

Skiing is the easiest to learn hardest to master. Flip that around and you know how snowboarding became so popular, but will never have the potential that skis will ever have.
 
from this day forth, anyone on newschoolers.com that post a thread about posers and on not liking them will be forever labled a 'Poser', drug out into the town square by his or her ear behind a horse, and stoned to death by a mob of angry villagers.

More people skiing = more money for ski companies and resorts which = better gear, better parks, better lifts which = more fun.

Hey man, i don't know who are posers or not, on this site, almost nobody does. But hey, if you ever had some1 laugh at you because you ate shit on a jump. I guarantee you, that you have, unless you don't ski, and just come to this website to act cool. And also, if you never fucked up a jump, you must not be doin what ure capable of.

Progression is good...but i also hate the whole bout a band becoming popular and u have liked them for years, i hate that..

all this about more dollars is true... but next time you have to wait in a line up to run the park, or the nexy time you have to pull out of the pipe early cause some dude drops in on you, you might be singin a different tune... i would rather have less kids having lunch breaks in the landing areas of the hits. on the other hand, there is always backcountry jumpin, which is better anyways. i guess in the end its a trade off.

 
The sport being recognized on the same level of snowboarding will help bring down the costs of ski equipment first of all. and if u want the sport to be original it already is. Just go out and ski, and stop caring about these stupid posers. If people want to be posers than let them, it helps bring money to the ski areas.
