im sorry i had to.....

but as far as the crash, i wanted to scream in pain for him

thats pussy shit. didn't look that bad

i take harder hits all the time in the mini park and still get up for more

^^did u not notice his leg twisted around more then once and if u watch closely u can see his leg is broken in more then one spot if u eat shit like that then u would be out for an entire season

dont know how the binding didnt unclick. u'd thing the torque required to twist ur leg like that would first pop ur ski off

still those bindings must have been messed up because the other ski released and was under much less pressure. It twisted his leg around twice before it released.

Are you incompetent? this is world class super G you dont roll in here with px10's. You are fighting actual G forces to stay up right, toe release is not there friend when doing 50mph or more around a gate. The last thing you want is to pop out of your toe when going that fast. Breaking your leg like this is a rarity, and an unfortunate mishap for this guy. Couldn't imagine life with only one let, all that tissue was probably damaged and nerve damage on top of that. UGH!

Guy's name is Lanzinger. Looks to me like his leg broke and turned to jelly so there wasn't any resistance to eject the other ski. Sucks

apparently they waited 6 hours to airlift him to a hospital which is stupid. and what sucks is, he was in a coma. when he woke up he had no leg. i would have like a heart attack thats just awful

i'm not sure if you mean that he was laying at the bottom of the slope for six hours, but that's wrong. it took 6 hours from the accident until he got to the hispital.

they first flew him the Lillehammer Hospital, but they didn't have the equipment to fix his leg/amputate it. then he was taken to Ullevaal Hospital, which is in Oslo, about 2,5 hours from Kvitfjell by car.

the crash was bad, i watched it live... it must suck to wake up from a coma with only one leg.

he broke it in two places, and damaged the blood supply to his lower leg and foot, so they amutated. so sad, he might never ski again.

Yah he nutted the gate pretty hard to looks like he just didnt set up for the gate well enough

His name is Matthias Lanzinger

They set the dins so high, and it takes a certain motion for the binding to release, like it dossent always happen unless the force is in a certain direction. The reason they set the din so high is that sometimes in a super G or downhill its way better not to loose a ski, you might break a leg but at least you'll be able to self arrest and not find the closest tree...
