Why would phil larouse jion liberty??????

“I am excited to start working on the product. I want to have a closer input and have the feeling that my ideas are taken into consideration. I want to know who I am skiing for. Liberty is a small company and thus has an identity. I am looking forward to skiing for a company that wants to bring the sport where it should be going. I am proud to start skiing on Liberty.

their international distribution strategy is just so lame that it cannot work! and the distributors they choose... they just can't mean it seriously! they will never expand, get to grow the way such a company must do to keep in!

there are many newschool brands popping up, and the market is still VERY small, somebody will have to go... Armada and 4FRNT will stick around. Ninthward, Liberty (and many others, even smaller ones) will disapear... I'm pretty damn sure!

i love people talking about shit that really have no fucking clue. i'm no fan of liberty, but i have nothing against them or ninthward. unless you looked at their numbers you can't say shit.

quite ironic; cauz you KNOW for a fact that I have no clue??? haha!

for the record: I have nothing against Liberty or 9th either, really not! this was not a classic "hate" message, just some reflected thoughts. you are free to disagree!

and, here's some numbers:

they are in their 3rd year in the skiingbusiness, and claim they produce 1000 pairs for the season 05/06, that is world wide (Europe, Asia, USA and Canada)! 3rd year: 1000 pairs! if you think there's any money in selling 1000 pairs of skis (after production costs, research, team, salary, marketing...), well, you're the one not having a fucking clue! of course, they can still grow and expand, but by the 3rd year, they should already be far beyond 1000!

To compare, both Armada and 4FRNT, in their first year of distribution in (a small country like) Norway, both sold over 200 pairs each! On their 3rd year in Norway this season, Armada easely sell three times that number now!

theyre doing ok promoting for their products too, just take NS for exemple, I went to a party last year at the Sunset Nightclub in Montreal that was sponsored by Liberty...

he got dropped and Im guessing he wasnt really getting any great offers so he decided to go with a smaller company where he'd get more attention and have more input

he basically says that Dynastar is a heartless corporate monster who were assholes and didnt listen to him
