Why we should all have bought a ski movie.

As I watched Teddy Bear Crisis tonight it dawned on me that if we all want our ultimate goal of freeskiing being a worldwide recognized sport/lifestyle/hobby the best thing we can all do is to buy ski movies as well as the magazines. An increase in sales to the magazines and companies that have been shooting since the beginning and small companies will put us nearer that goal. If revenue in these departments are grown then advertising in each will cost more and larger corporations will start to give the ski industry their dollar, also allowing our pro athletes to see more media and such.

Wouldn't it be nice to be sitting somewhere talking to someone you just met about your skiing and they don't ask you if you snowboard too? And they will not be stunned when they realized you can ski backwards and enter the halfpipe with, yes, your skis.

If you are like me and want to see our industry grow, pitch in a little. Help it grow!

its quite possible...but it would need a lot of money to really get some decent funding...i think large companies think this is just a fad

do we want this shit tho. do we want to be seen as the snowboarders of the future. im fine where we are now, we are like, the elite of the snow, since boarders and got shit on us.

It's gonna get like snowboarding, where nearly every company is "core".

And be more mainstream, especially when pipe skiing takes off, which it hasn't really done yet. At least not in the way I imagine it could.

i am really sick of kids asking me

if a snowboard

and then looking at me funny when i say i ski

i'm fine with it. i'd rather be more unique as being a newschool skier than some fucking guy who took up snowboarding because that is what is in. I'd rather not see skiing get that big. lets just enjoy our individualism on the hill.

i think we all are. i think the kids who live in the mountains probably dont have this problem as much, cuz people know whats going on more. but still, i dont know how you an have the tv on ESPN or ABC aaround Xgames time and still not know that people do shit on skis.

To the people who dont want new school skiing to get bigger, dont you want to have more than 5 or so newschool skiiers at your mountain? Whenever I ride I cant find that many people to ski with.

skiing is getting bigger, a lot of my friends are picking it up after snowboarding for years, and the numbers of young skiers are rising at my local resort. People were just lost for a while, blinded by the power of the dark side.

It has more respect, i still have kids say stupid shit like. It's so gay, you can't even do tricks on them.

Though the latter really just shows they haven't been to a terrain park in their lives.

i have like 12 vids for this year, i just take them from my shop though, half of them are snowboard flicks. i take mags from the shop too. but the shop pays for them, so it's still cool.

I have War! and plan on getting TBC but I've been having some bad timing at Fresh they keep selling out before I can get one!

I find more and more of my friends switching to skiing, so from my perspective it is just fine how it is and is growing at quite a fast rate. But ja, i bought War and have one subscribtion.
