Why Univ. of Utah is the best school in the country if you ski.

do you realize youre arguing with people who have lived here for years, and make the drive from the mountains into the valley 100+ days a year? clearly youre the expert here though.

I've seen what I've seen and its been pretty disgusting at times. When one sees the same shit multiple times on multiple trips they begin to think that what they see just me in fact be reality.
Like eheath says, I come when the inversion is at its worst it seems
SO yeah after like multiple trips and shit out here and seeing the smog I thought it was just an everyday thing and existed like I said...until a storm moved it out. But now I am more interested in inversions and why they trap pollution.

people are right, the inversions are not getting worse. when the mormons first settled utah they generally used coal to heat everything. The inversion was so bad at times that if you wore a white shirt outside you would come home wearing a grey one.
 
you dont seem to understand the dynamics of the inversions. they are only trapped in during high pressure, when the colder, denser, smoggy air is forced to stay down low, since we are located in a valley there is no way for this dense smoggy shit to disperse like there would be in say denver, where one side is open. inversions only get bad in the thick of winter, when air is the coldest, and the smog gets trapped. in the summertime its not really an issue since the air stays so much warmer that when high pressure comes through it can still rise as it is less dense. realtors dont know shit about weather, they sell fucking houses, stop sounding like such an asshole and stop hating on a place that you think you know everything about.
 
1/2 of the time this summer if you checked the air quality online it was "good" cause it was usually mostly fog too.
