Why the Midwest Sucks...

1.) Its flat

2.) Not much snow fall

3.) resorts are few and far between

4.) the population of hicks to regular people is comparable to the blacks and whites is the hey day of slavery.

5.) ugly redneck girls

6.) our resorts don't open till mid decmberish unless ur lucky and like furthur north (i.e.- UP,Minn., Wisco)

7.) Did i mention its flat?

8.) No verticle

any of these may be different depending on where u live in the Midwest.

Finishing up i'd like to state that in no way am i saying i hate the midwest i simply said it sucks but i live here for now and there is no way i can change that until i graduate or die so as of now i am stuck here for another year and a half but i must admit it has been the lack of skiing here that keeps me motivated because if it wasn't for my piddly hill i wouldn't be able to ski at all unless i drove for 10 hours. so i guess what i'm trying to say is the mid west sucks but i guess its better than nothing at all.

well mainly ohio and indiana but there have been a few other midwestern hills i'v been to that suck i dunno what it was caled but it was in Minnesota

im in MN. I was at a place called Hyland Hills today because it opened today, not mid Dec, and i have a season pass for it. Buck Hill is another one which is about 5 minutes away from hyland, so places are pretty common here. The metro places are small, but close and a lot of them. I might be at MS03 because hyland is where all the midwestskier.com guys go, and they run it and compete in it.

Why the Midwest is better than you think

1. It's flat. That means that your mountain has to resort to alternate means of attracting attention... i.e. building a nice park. I moved out here from the West, and where I lived a decent park was four hours away. Now I've got one that's 45 minutes away.

2. It's flat. Which means you can build resorts anywhere, and there are quite a few resorts around. Which means you don't have to drive far at all to get to one. Living in the West for the most part, means a one or two-hour drive to go skiing. For me in Michigan, it's fifteen minutes.

3. The snow sucks, and it's icy. You'll get balls here, and you'll learn to handle shitty snow and stick your tricks no matter how hard the landing. When you finally reach Alta powder you'll shred like a pro because you learned your goods in the worst conditions.

4. It usually snows in town (depending on where you live, of course). What's this mean? Urban insanity.

and 5... Midwest girls are ugly. This is a major motivation factor for aspiring skiers... you'll boost higher and have more steez because you really want to land that high-paying sponsorship and fly out to Mammoth or Boulder where the REAL women are.

 
wow kamikaze, now that i think about it that is so true, i live in sd and its like that pretty much, even though we do have alot of hot chicks around. oh yeh, and we dont have a park at all, just a halfpipe.

i dont know though kami skiing on ice all my life hasnt really helped me learn to ski pow out here at alta at all its so much harder. But i do think growing up skiing ice has helped me be a better skier it seems like i can handle more types of snow then my friends who grew up skiing out west their whole life. The midwest does suck it does help you become a good skier but it does suck skiing out in utah is so much better, have fun gavin haha

 
if u get an appt. by ur jr. year eric i'm gonna live with u and take a year off to gain residency then go to school at U after that.
