^That's why I wait before something when I snowboard. My friends that ski will hit it a couple times and I don't feel like strapping in and out a couple times so I'll just wait until they hit it and move on. I'm not in the way but if a snowboarder isn't standing feel free to go around him/her. If their standing then they're waiting to go so just get behind them. Standing up for snowboarders is kinda tiring becuase we have no poles to lean on, basically us sitting equals skiiers leaning on poles

I think a better title for this thread would be;
Why the hell do insecure intermediate skiers try and pretend they are superior to snowboarders? Quit pretending that skiers are better in powder!
Ask any pro skier what he thinks of snowboarders and he will give nothing but props, detective being a good example. Same goes for snowboarders, all of the really good ones have mad respect for skiers.
Get a copy of tb5 and watch Johann Olafsson, you might learn something.
Anyone putting down snowboarding is pretty much guaranteed to be an intermediate skier at best, so think about what your post says about your own skills.
