Given the fact that I'm a bigger guy their whole super tall super slim fit just doesnt work for me. To get the baggy loose fit i want id have to go 2xl on a jacket but then ill have a jacket that goes past my knees.
Idk this is on me bein chubz than saga but still their fit is whack. & im just not crazy about their designs anymore

13610779:BenWhit said:So what defines "mainstream" to you? Gear in every ski shop in the country? Carried by every online vendor imaginable? Satellite locations and a massive distribution chain?
They have one 3000sqft location, adjacent to a micro ski manufacturer.
If you're concerned with what other people are wearing on the mountain, you need to grow the fuck up.
13610778:saskskier said:What is your definition of mainstream? I've only seen Saga in a handful of ski shops and never outside of a ski resort and even then there have only been a handful of people wearing it. I've seen maybe, MAYBE one snowboarder wearing it.
Just because you aren't the only one wearing a particular brand doesn't mean it's mainstream...

13610803:KravtZ said:Agreed. Let my skiing do the talking. That being said...don't look like a total Gaper...but Saga makes decent stuff. Just not my style personally.
If you care about other random people you don't know and what they wear you need to chill the hell out and worry about yourself because chances are you suck at skiing if you care about crap like that.
13610807:Mr.noodle said:At my mountain the majority of the park outer wear I see is saga, also the definition of mainstream is the ideas, attitudes, or activities that are regarded as normal or conventional; the dominant trend in opinion, fashion, or the arts. I would call it mainstream for the park skiers that I see.
Sorry for rustling your jimmies Ben but as I said in my first post I said I have no problem with it. I have a saga vest, snowpants and 2-3 saga sweatshirts.
13610862:BenWhit said:I just fundamentally do not understand why anyone would look down on a brand that is widely accepted. So, an eleven year-old kid has a Saga jacket and pants. Do you know what his parents did? They put their dollar into a brand whose 100% vested in the ski industry.

Do you know what his parents did? They put their dollar into a brand whose 100% vested in the ski industry. Saga is not owned by Rubbermaid. They don't have board members that sit on the board of energy conglomerates, consumer goods distributors, or massive holdings company. They are rider owned, athlete supported, and industry funded. Every dollar that goes to Saga, or any ski brand for that matter, is a dollar that is reinvested to research better materials, aesthetically pleasing designs, and functional features. "Maintstream" within the minute populous that is park-skiing is not mainstream. When Tommy Blowhard from NYC is walking down the street in a Saga hoodie, though his feet have never slid down snow in his life, then Saga will be "mainstream" and you will have a legitimate gripe. So long as the dollars spent at Saga are retained in the ski industry, you can all keep your bitching to yourselves.
