Why the fuck is it so cold???

seriously, it shouldnt be -25 degrees right now. we were getting close

to zero a few weeks ago. i have slowly watched the snow blow off

whistler.

it makes me sad.

I can live with the cold no problem if all this snow arrives.

i would rather have it cold than warm, but the -20s is kinda pushing it. i would be much happier if it was actually snowing and not just getting the moisture sucked out of the old snow

THIS cold doesn't = snow, it = ice, makes the mountains an inhospitably freezing skating rink, and that doesn't = fun. But it won't last forever, and it looks like sunday thru wednesday are the days, so those will be the days I shall ski.

head south to baker, i was there today with waist deep and refresh every run, probably got around a foot and a half throughout the day, more to come tonight.... so yes, THIS cold does equal snow, and this snow is fun, oh yeah, and UBC Vancouver area has at least 4-6 inches last time i checked, five minutes ago?

Baker was got another 10" last night. It is coming in Whis, the storm is just missing by a bit unfortunately.

And at my house in Caulfeild, we have close to a foot. It's weird, just that one area of West Van is quite a bit different from even how much snow they have in the BPs. I'd have to imagine Cypress got DUMPED on.

Yeah I'm thinking I warm up (figuratively speaking) at Cypress tomorrow actually. I wish the locals weren't so damned flat... it doesn't really matter to me, guy up there, how much it snows in Vantown if the storms are all skipping Whis and coming south. Nice to hear baker's getting pounded but we're really aching for it on the real mountains up here, not just the real mountains down there.

I was there yesterday too, and I concur. Under chair 6, we were the first ones to explore a certain area and it was balls deep without exaggerating. I had to stop to see where I was going, as the snow was over the head blower.

Stuff like tree stumps and little cliffs are becoming hittable, but be cautious regardless! It's building up, but still thin.

And on the way back, holy shit, I've never seen it storm like that anywhere. In the plains around Sumas/Abbotsford, blowing snow was making rime on the cars and houses! Couldn't see 3 feet ahead at points!

When it's warm it rains and people bitch.

When it's cold and doesn't snow people bitch.

At least the resort can MAKE snow when it's cold.

Stop your whining, it was -40 BEFORE windchill here in revy on monday. It gets a LOT colder than -15 to -25... you know its bad when your spit freezes before it hits the ground and bounces off.

for once id rather be skiing grouse this weekend rather than whistler

but my family is gay and i have to go with them because its christmas. they should have a good park by now though, they must have made tons of snow
