why the FUCK is blackcomb closing...well i know why, same reason as every year...but damn, couldnt they keep wizzard and solar open for park access only...shit is off the hook rite now...its a shame its still winter conditions up there and blackcomb is closing next weekend...
 
that does suck, they have a ton of snow right now. I'm heading out there May 5th so hopefully Whistler is going to be sick. It's going to be my first time up there so I'm sure i'll enjoy it.
 
Yep, pretty pissed that I have exams and can't go up till after Blackcomb is closed. The park looked sick on Friday though, I was busy riding pow.
 
Yeah its earlier by a week this year too. I wish they gave it 2 more weeks. Whistler is ok, but the HL park is insane right now.
 
Its fairly clear why they are closing Blackcomb despite there being so much snow. Both mountains have been empty all season except a few weeks. I honestly don't know how they make a profit
 
i have been surprised by the lack of crowds too, except on the january powder weekends, but spring break was empty, as well as many other weekends when the snow kicked ass. Do the tourists just stay in the village or not come anymore????
 
A lot of people made other plans this year due to the shitty season we had last year. Not really that surprising. Bad for the resort though.
