Why not Ron Paul??

do you know what conservatism is?

no where in the constitution does it say that gay people should be allowed to get married, and thusly people who want to preserve the constitution do not want to let people do something that is not in the constitution.

and personally i dont feel this should be the first thing on the presidents agenda, there are much bigger issues that need to be addressed. I could care less if gays could get married, since they can not be married by the church it really isnt a marriage, just a piece of paper you get from the court house.

really I think that the only reason Ron Paul WONT get elected is for the simple fact that not only does he want to make marijuana legal, he wants all drugs to be legal. Not neccesarilly that it is a bad thing, so many fucking americans do drugs every day. Its obviously something we need to deal with so why put them in jail and waste a stupid amount of fucking money that our government cant even afford all of them so now we have privatized prisons, and they make so much god damn money its fucking sick. We should have it that the bad drug addicts have rehab available to them, because rehab is a hell of alot cheaper than keeping some one in prison for 20+ years. But The system as it is now makes too much money with drugs especially marijuana being illegal. The Private prison industry isnt the only one banking off this, its also the Pharmaceutical Industry, the Paper Mill INdustry. Lets not forget all the money spent on Police Enforcement. But really Ron Paul is the only man in the race for presidency that i think could even get this process started, so yes I will be voting for Ron Paul.

the bible had a lot to do with the writing of the constitution though, religion played a big part in the lives of our founding fathers, one can argue that the bible was a second constitution at the time.

But there is a law that outlaws marriage between the same sex, and in the bible is says that is wrong and thusly conservatives are not in favor.

a super far right really radical conservative like rush Limbaugh times 100 would want to set the country back to what it was like when the constitution was signed.

That's because marriage is a religious ceremony and should never be a function of government, nor should it require a fee or government approval.

Our founding fathers were Deist, and many Atheist. Sure, basal moral conduct derived from the Bible served as a basis for our judicial sector, but the Consti tution itself guarantees freedom FROM religion as well as it does freedom OF religion. The treaty of Tripoli codifies this in no uncertain terms. The Bill of Rights makes this concept enforceable. You want to make the claim that the Bible has the final moral say in our nation? Tell that to the Emancipation proclamation, women's rights, interracial rights, gay rights and your rights to personal liberty.

K, well then the rest of the conversation is useless, because without Biblical intervention, there's no moral derivation that can be affirmed to deny LGBT rights.

This. You do realize he came into office in a very bad time. It is not his fault that the jobs were lost.

^intellegent point there. I applaud your sharp logic.

I think every state should form alliances with other states and liquidate into 5 ish different countries problems solved.

I have a theory about democracy and capitalism that can be expressed in an equation

X=the chance of pure democracy and pure capitalism working for the best

P= population of country

X= 1(0.5)^P

i wouldn't vote for ron paul because i'm a bit skeptical of the gold standard and getting rid of the fed. i also don't believe in the abilities of the states to properly govern the tasks which he believes they should, especially on environmental issues.

There is an argument that the government had a hand in causing that very bad time. I'm not saying Bush or Obama is better, but its not like the economy mysteriously tanked for no reason while the Bush government was in charge.

The graph does have hilariously labelled axis.

All societies must struggle with rights vs freedoms, and have to find a balance somewhere. Pure freedom would be a disaster.

Because someone keeps putting his stickers and shit all over Brecks and Vails lifts. Some one even put one on some peoples skis and it wouldn't come off.
