/images/flash_video_placeholder.png/images/flash_video_placeholder.pngObama has no clue how to create jobs. He knows how to print money and wear a phony smile. Obama is going to TRY to tax the rich... ya right. For those who support Obama; what do you think his real agenda is?? Lets try not to be haters. I was one of the small percentage who voted in the primary in OHio. It was a ghostown this year...

i like ron paul and obama. anyone else feel like this?

but personally i see ron paul as a really likeable guy, but also someone who has a lot of ideas that are way too far out there for him to ever stand a chance at being elected

What do you mean what is the real agenda? The real agenda is Obama loves this country and wants to get it back on track. Now, you may disagree with how he goes about doing that, but lets stop embedding our speech with all these fucking stupid undertones about how he may be some evil man who is coming to destroy the U.S. from the inside.

Also, ron paul, though he has some good ideas, unfortunately has some very crazy ones that most people don't like. (That can be reflected in the percentage of people that vote for him)

ron paul seems like the kind of person that you'd want to have a drink and shoot the shit with. you will think to yourself that this person knows a lot about stuff, then after about 12 minutes of conversing, you're trying to think of a way to leave.

I did not call Obama evil... Jimmy Carter loves this country too!! Obama is -$300 to win $100 in the English Sports book for the next election. It appears no opinion really matters as far as the bettors. Obama gets 4 more years. I hope the agenda works in a positive matter for our country, believe me. Ron Paul's abolish the IRS idea is funny and crazy..haha

This election is Obama's to lose at this point. The Republicans' shot themselves rather than go about building a convincing case vs. Barack. Although Paul seems like the logical choice, he doesn't possess the same 'it' factor that America tends to gravitate to and some of this policies won't fly, IMO.

no he doesn't. he seems like someone who'd be teaching economics at harvard or something.

I didnt mean to say that you were but the kind of language of saying stuff like "what is his real agenda" can incite a lot of negative connotations.

Why do so many people feel this way? I don't understand it; they are polar opposites. Ron Paul wants as little government as possible and Obama wants as much government as possible. I don't get it.

I just phrased it like that as a quick way of stating that Obama and Ron Paul are complete opposites. If you don't think they are then I lol at you.

Because people are stupid and insane and think that picking either of the two parties will be better this year than the past. If it's not Paul at least a lot of people can say don't blame me for whatever mess we will be in. Probably with Iran or some other shit we have no business in.

The amount of jobs being lost was in free fall when bush left the white house, Obama was fighting an uphill battle from the moment he stepped in office....

ron paul is one of the smartest minds in politics. i had the privelege of seeing him speak and he seems extremely genuine in person but like others said his ideas are way too far out for him to have a shot at the presidency. and it reaaaalllly pisses me off when stoners support him because he would legalize it if he became president. he also said people should have the right to put whatever they want in their body which is beyond fucked and stupid but otherwise he will trash the fed reserve and has really good foreign policy plans

I respect ron paul a lot but aboloshing the fed and returning to a gold standard would make things even worse. And he has some pretty messed up social policy.

The president does not create jobs, everyone blames the president for their problems it's rediculous.

Themselves. If we look back to the depression, it was caused by people over extending on credit. The same thing happened in 08 so many forecloses because people didn't have the money they thought they did. Plus the dip in the stock market scared people. It was a big chain reaction. But people will always blame the president over things he has no control over.

I find it odd that anyone on this website, given it's a ski site, would support Ron Paul. Here's a guy with one of the worst environmental voting records, want to privatize public lands, due a away with the EPA, and thinks global warming is a hoax.... so yeah vote Ron Paul. Oh right, you can't really anymore. This primary is over.

Jesus Christ is this for real? No business being involved and ready to respond/ deter Iran are you fucking serious. When does it become our business? When Tel Aviv is a smoldering crater? When Iran starts sharing technology with other evil regimes like Syria and Yeman? When is ok to look out for us and our friends? Or are you suppose to watch and just let the chips fall where they may? I for one will never support a hands off approach with issues this serious.

Wait a minute.

The y axis is number of jobs lost. And its going in the negative direction so therefore we were gaining jobs under Bush and starting to lose them under Obama.

Interesting point Toast ?? This graph is not true either. Obama has created 140,000 federal jobs according to Mitt Romney's Chicago speech...

>Would put LGBT rights to a state vote rather than instantiate them under Federal Law as a protected class.

There. There's your reason for why you shouldn't vote for him. Anyone that believes in freedom more than the perpetuity of civil rights is mad imo. Just like in the 60's, people need to be forced to do the right thing, and this has been proven time and time again throughout American history.

Are you fucking serious? Freedom is less important in your mind than civil rights? Woman logic? Or just really entitled and stupid?

You think you should have the freedom to infringe on another individual's personal liberties because MUH FREEDOMZ? It's easy to say that when you're white, straight, cis, and well to do, asshole. Quit the sexism and start using your head. You're not the only person in here, and there are people out there who would attempt to take away my rights with a vote. RE: california, new jersey, utah (recently), etc.

Can you not read? That was very clear. Freedom for the sake of freedom when that freedom could entail an infringement upon personal liberty is ludicrous and incredibly selfish and privileged. Ironic that you would call me entitled and spout such an opinion when there are clear representations of people's opinions in our current voting system that would seek to me harm.

also, white refers to your race, straight - your orientation, cis - your gender schema, and well-to-do your economic privilege. There. Now you have some idea of what I was talking about in that sense.

First of all if you can't hack it in a free society then move to Europe I know plenty of women who over achieve economically and academically compared to their male counterparts if that's even what you are, seems like an alias. A truly free society will right it's own wrongs over time and incorporate less represented groups of people. And it's not freedom for freedom sake. Its freedom because reality isn't just and compared to other systems relative freedom has proven better than the elite dictating the terms of a fair society. Yes your entitled because you want to dictated what is appropriate to think and believe. Don't like the homophobes and sexists? Then prove them wrong , overwhelm them with success don't ban their opinions or block them from effecting politics.

So your points in summation are thus: 1) You don't like it, you kin get out. 2)It'll happen eventually because people are inherently decent. 3)Reality isn't fair, but it's better than a dictatorship. 4)I'm entitled because I want my rights now and don't want to let people get around to eventually making the correct decision.

Are you serious? Do people actually think this way? Lemme give a quick historic rundown of some things that people were forced into accepting given their own personal shortcomings couldn't turn the vote in favor of moral judiciousness: 1) Slavery. 2) Women's Suffrage. Suffrage for land owners, in fact was unfavorable to voting opinion. 3) The Civil Rights Act of 1964. 4) The right to interracial marriage, 1969. 5) The Prop 8 overturn 2012. 6) All the states that allow gay rights.

Great track record for "free society", there man. Gives one a lot of hope that they might get around to Trans rights eventually... this century maybe.
