Why no good ski video games?

Why has skiing been completely out of the market for video games? I feel like someone could make an awesome game for skiing if you kept the controls similar to skate. I know here and there they made attempts to make games but they all failed horribly because it was like playing a ps1 game with x to jump and triangle to grind

I remember playing the classic game, Johnny Moseley Mad Trix, all the time. I thought it was awesome for the time and I wish I could still play it. Who can forget this?!

Maybe after the Olympics it might spark someone to come up with a game. One can hope.. Tanner Hall Mad trix?
 
Last I heard jiblife was about to unveil a special olympic ski video game! you should check them out op!
 
Just watched some gameplay on youtube, looks like a fun game if you were 8 and had no idea what freeskiing was about. While doing tricks, the BOARDER somehow gets out of his bindings and starts playing with his board in his hands? Idk man doesn't seem legit to me at all.
 
I talked to someone at SNOW and they said that it will most likely be coming out for the next gen consoles (PS4, Xbox One) sometime this year (as well as Mac) but it won't be coming to the PS3 and the 360
 
True, but I think it's the best option for an actual skiing game... Shredsauce is great but it's more of a time waster
 
It's awesome! I will say as a game it's not quite as good as skate but I'd much rather play a skiing game anyone. Hope they come out with a second one.
 
Surely there will be something decent coming out soon. You know what happened last time skiing was revolutionized in the Olympics?

I don't know why people thought Johnny mosely was so bad. I mean it was a little out there with skiing in San Fran and Vegas but for the most part it was pretty good for the time
 
Let's be honest it did totally suck. I still played the shit out of it though. There was glitches you could do to make your skier do 180's and cork 5's. Otherwise you were basically doing ridiculous dubs and trips by default. It was still super fun even though it was super clumsy. I think a lot of the hate came from the fact that it came out around the same time as Amped and Amped was so much sicker, the controls were so much better and you could freely control the axis' of your spins. It was everything people would have wanted from a ski game.

Snow was dope when i first got it, now with the updates, the gameplay just keeps getting worse, they tried adding preloading and its just horrible, time to play Youriding freeski 2

We've had one for 2 decades. It's called Tommy Moes winter extreme: skiing and snowboarding.

Possibly the most distinctive music I've ever heard in any game
 
So that's why they're delaying Watch Dogs! Ubisoft Montreal is making a ns exclusive game! You heard it here first folks!
 
You are aware there's something called an hdmi cable right? Playing a pc game with a ps3 controller on a tv through hdmi is no different than playing the same game on a ps3...
