why mt hood over whistler?

Why is it that the majority of the summer shots in videos are from mt hood, and not whistler. Ive never been to mt hood but whistler has some pretty sick stuff from what ive seen of it.

Ive seen some from Whistler, especially High North, Mt Hood gets a lot because they build some really ginormous hits

It also has a bit to do with who owns the camps. Vans owns High Cascade, so they are going to use their camp to do a lot of their shooting. That sort of builds a scene of fliming there. Kinda takes the focus away from what you are wanting to do though eh?

also hood has more terrain oppurtunity with the more room they have, and the conditions are nicer at hood, i dont know why but i traveled to both this summer. the camp parks from what i saw looked amazing, they were all cut cleanly and huge, whistler camps are sweet as well but they lack the conditions and space. i was going to go to hood for a camp but i dont like hiking a lot and the lift is not accesible from where all the parks are

i think the jumps simply look nicer there so in films it makes everything look nicer, making US... the viewers, have more fun watching

They build really nice hits at Windell's and there's always plenty of room to go in the backcountry and build Ostnessesque step-ups and whatnot.

all that back country is shot in the spring not during the summer...whistler has a greater quantity of snow. mt. hood has mass early summer but loses it very quickly

never really heard about the weather at hood, but there's a lot of foggy days in whistler.

it was clear and sunny the entire week I went to hood. The snow melts pretty fast at hood, but theres always enough snow for those big tables. also, whistler closes middle of july. hood closes beginning of september.

Hood also looks cooler for shooting. Think about all the cool volcanic rock and stuff rgiht next to the jumps, and the surrounding mountains you can see in the background. the whis glacier doesn't have that stuff.

 
yeah, whistler is for us tykes... the booters they build at hood are like small stadiums to jump over, and because people at whistler dont know how to drive in snow so it takes 5 hours to get home

someone to commiserate, what the fuck was that, why cant anyone here drive? its fuckin ridiculous... i passed like 30 at one point pretty much in the middle of the road... but after that it wasnt workin... squamish was a fucking zoo... i just stopped and got food

^haha me too, dairy queen. Then all the cars were toatally stopped for no apparent reason. once it was fixed, we passed nothing that indicated any accident of any kind.
