Why Macs are the best

i just think that it is cool that final cut pro has become the standard in the film industry for non linear editing, and warren miller basically started the ski film industry so i thought this was a cool connection.
 
i just wish apple wouldn't make there stuff look so frikin pussy - all white and whatnot. a black powerbook would own like crazy, i'd even get one and load ubuntu PPC on it.
 
Ubuntu is the shit. It rocks. And you can get free CDs of it too!

I like macs, don't get me wrong. But you can do the same with a PC. And I just know PC's better.
 
i hate my powerbook. it sucks, so does my desktop pc. all computers are crap. The only reason I have a powerbook is fcp.
 
That video is total bullshit. I have had far more problems with my windows computer than mac. In fact, many of those problems that that irritating asshole was describing I have had with my PC.

ok if u know how to use a pc then it won't crash. my pc hasn't crashed in 2 years. in school there are macs. hey are constantly crashing. it pisses me off. that is y pc's are better and for u ppl who think pcs suck because they crash then learn how to fucking use a computer
 
Maybe that becasue the Macs at your school are old and overused? Just a guess. I know how to use computers quite well and use both Mac and PC. My PC has crashed multiple times in the past year and has gotten viruses and spyware, despite the fact that I use Norton antivirus, McAffe, Spybot and AdAware. My mac however has never crashed or gotten a virus or spyware.
 
a 500 mhZ mac will outperform a 3.4 ghZ PC any day. their systems are far more robust, processors are far superior. on the plus side, none of that spyware or virus crap to worry about.
 
If their processors were so superior, why the switch to Intel? Know what your talkin about before you blow stuff out your ass. And yeah theres mac viruses and spyware. People just dont get them. Why? Cause no one wants to bother making one for a Mac. If your gonna make a virus your gonna make one to target more people. I bet you that 10times out of 10 that any skilled programmer could make a worm to crash a Mac harder than a PC anyday.
 
^ because the powerpc g5 chips are fucking expensive and IBM is having trouble producing g5 chips for the powerbooks and what not.

also, i guarentee you it is MUCH easier to program a worm/virus for windows. Windows is a security problem waiting to happen with so many holes in the OS its not even funny. While im sure some one could make a virus for mac its going to be a lot more difficult as OS X is far more advanced.

i know exactly what i'm talking about, fool. i'm speaking from experience with macs (i've got 4 of them in my house right now) and not by how they're expected to do. perhaps i should reword it for you. mac processors, AT THIS VERY MOMENT IN TIME, are far superior.
 
i don't know shit about computers, but i love editing on my mac way better then on the pc's i worked on in school. plus i killed 3 pc's w/ viruses d/l'in music and what not and after a year my powerbook still runs as smooth as the day I got it...that's enough reason right there for me to have it.
 
i like macs b/c their simple. i don't have to be a computer nerd to know how to stop it from crashing b/c it doesn't crash. i'm not really smart w/ computer and that is why i like macs, i don't have to be. I know there might be somethings that you can do on a pc that you might not be able to do on a mac, and i don't care. my mac does whatever i need it to without all the bullshit i get w/ a pc. If you want to deal w/ the shit that comes w/ pcs, i say more power to ya b/c i couldn't do it.
 
i must say after watching that video, i have never had any of the problems that he discribed with my mac. mabe i got lucky, or mabe its because it is brand new. i don't know as much about computers then others do, but i have used both, and i do find my mac more easy to use.
 
ha, i used to feel that way about pcs, until i realized i needed one. macs just dont have enough software available to them (like what you were saying about the target for viruses). no one makes games for macs, i needed a specific CAD program for school, and pcs are so much cheaper. i guess as long as you take care of em, they work just fine
