Well i haven't read any good news about line on here for a while so i was like i'll make a why i like line thread even if it turns into a bashing of line and all the little kiddies jump on the bash line band wagon just like they jumped on the hate msp band wagon.

1. their doing something with their bindings that no one else is trying to do

2. First "core" company to be around

3. Sick product

4. First to make a fat twin

5. Try new things with skis (pocket rocket hasn't been changed for like 5 years)

6. Jay Lev. is a cool dude and people can actually talk to him about his products.

7. Pollard has some sick ideas

8. Make the prophet

9. Held a rail jam in the middle of summer

10. Skiers union (why not it may mean anything but no other company has anything like this)

To all the people who are pissy about them not haveing much of a team.....Who cares do you buy skis for quality (and for you morons the graphics)or the team that that company sponsors?

I super duper get behind that last point about they don't need a huge team to make the best skis on the market ( in my opinion wich I know means nothing to you guys ).

still not convinced. personally, im not gonna buy a ski based on the owner being a "cool dude". but then again, i demand more from a ski company than 15 year old kids with mom and dad's credit cards

I have been one to bash the Reactor but you got to give line props for trying something new and CONSTANTLY pushing the sport.

i dont know of anyhting wrong with line aside from a little record of PR problems and losing their Only American Ski Company status when they moved to china. Other than that they make good products and constantly kick ass

My first pair of twin-tips was a pair of first-year Skogens and I've ridden Line models for several years. I support them as I would any independent newschool company, but I have to say that after trying some of the new models from other companies on the market I've become a bit disappointed with Line's quality and the way the skis ride. I don't have any beef with the way the company is run and I look forward to what JLev and collaborators come up with next, but I also hope someday to ride a Line ski that really stokes me out - which, to date, hasn't been the case.

those points aren't valid anymore. they used to be a good company in my opinion but now those points don't mean anything. line is going downhill. the whole industry is going downhill. people need to stop hopping on "band wagons." lets see some creativity from skiers....

thanks surface for something to look forward to.

thanks snowboarding for letting us ride your coat-tails. hopefully one day we will be on our own...

all this bashing on line makes no sense to me. when i think of line, i think of a major ski company, just like any other reputable ski manufacturer, core or not. i couldn't imagine a world without line skis. granted that i have never ridden a line ski, the impression i get from them is still that of quality and innovation. line has been around long enough, and seems well established in the industry that i don't even understand why people are questioning their products. if anything, i think liberty is the sketchiest company right now, but that could change.

i like the chronic thats a sick ski i got pumped when i demoed that along with the skogen = chronic wide both very sick sticks and the invader is a very nice touch on a park oriented ski.

they havent changed pocket rockets in five years because they are a sick ski and you dont need to change them. everyone i know loves them

everyone just doesnt want to live up to the fact that line has balls and will do anything they can to preogressing skiing as a whole, and not just collect money as quick as possible. they use they're money to help fund new innovative things. people "blah blah blah" about the reactors, in a few years everyone will be like "i cant see why some huge company with lots of money like soloman never came through with an idea like this" then, located at woodstock, all the companies will fight to the death. with line's wide variety of artillery, they will destroy all. to the victor go the spoils. i'll be video taping the whole thing and sell it on the black market.

here is "why line kicks ass": they do it all for the love of the sport and for kids like us that go out and ski because we love it. They aren;t out there to have the sickest team in the world with their riders, so for all that say line sucks because their team sucks, well then you should pull your head out of your ass. They've got one of the best skiers of our time riding for them because he loves doing it, not for the money or free shit. Line will keep on rockin it for many years to come in my opinion, and i can only hope they do. i'm done now.
