Ok guys I will be honest, I am a Bush fan. But I am not deaf or blind, and I can see that an aweful lot of people hate bush and think he needs to be out of office.

I love this old argument 'tax cuts for the rich' It is so lazy in its logic. Fact is (straight from the IRS) that top 20% of wage earners pay 80% of taxes. ok dumby, if your gonna give a cut taxes, dont you think that the people who are gonna get the biggest break are those who pay the most??? Health Care for everyone?? Good idea huh. Sure. As a vision it sounds great. However do you want an example of what social medicine looks like? Well go to our friendly neighebor Canada. Its takes a LOOONNNGGGG time to get an appt at a doctor and level of care is terrible. When the government interferes, things normally detoriate. The quality of care will tremdously decline. Also, its not the governments responsibilty to provide healthcare for everyone. GO get a freaking college degree and get a freekiing job!!! Pay for your own damm healthcare.

Jobs overseas. Ahh boo hoo. I suppose if you owned a company profit really wouldnt matter. Fact of the matter is our economy is dynamic. We are moving out of the industrial and into the technological phase. I suppose you were against the cotton jin when industrialization began thousands of jobs were lost b/c no longer were cotton pickers needed. However, new jobs were created. In 2 days no, over a the next decaded.

Do you think we should get rid of all automation now and go back to picking cotton by hand so that people can have jobs? If so you shouldnt be wearing all that cotton clothing you have on right now.

ok i will try to point some flaws with 1080_n_ARkaNsaS' previous statement.

1.) Tax cuts

I don't think they need the money but that isn't the point. the point is that they won't spend the money that get from the tax cuts. Let me give an example. I give $10k to a homeless person and $10k to Bill Gates. The homeless person will spend the money on something whether it be a home, food, or booze. It really doesn't matter (i will explain later). Bill Gates gets the $10k. Since he has more money than god already another drop in the bucket won't matter. He probably won't spend his extra money on anything and more likely put it in the bank. As anyone who has taken Economics 101 knows the GDP of the United States (and any country for that matter) consists of Consumer Spending + Investment + Government Spending +(Exports - Imports). The homeless man increases the national GDP because he consumes (consumer spending) something. Gates doesn't because he banks it. This fact is even more important because of the multipler effect (another economics 101 concept) increases the GDP more than just the orignal $10k (often times by 4-5 times). Anyway my point is that the rich don't need the tax cuts because simply it doesn't help the economy it just helps the rich. if someone where to give tax cuts to the poor the economy improves. This point be confusing but i could go into more detail if you'd like.

2.) Health Care. You said. 'When the government interferes, things normally detoriate. The quality of care will tremdously decline.' Well i'll keep this short by just saying many old people can not afford any health care. poor health care and free drugs are better than no health care and no drugs. Of course the 500 billion (?) we used in iraq could have gone to health care and then it probably wouldn't 'tremedously decline'

3.) Oversea jobs. you said 'Fact of the matter is our economy is dynamic. We are moving out of the industrial and into the technological phase' For once i agree with this statement, partialy. This technological phase is really more of a technological service phase. However i fail to see the relevence of this in your point. I think you are trying to say that it is ok because the US will do the work that requires the thinking while other nations can manufactor the stuff we design. I might point countries like china and india are taking the 'thinking' jobs from us. but like i said your whole point is confusing and seems to be made from an uneducated standpoint.

well i don't really know what i am talking about and i probably made some mistakes because i don't know all the facts. but if you ever want to talk about anything intelligent again i would recommend talking high school economics and getting back to me.

If nothing else, Bush doesn't support the enviornment. I'm no hippie, but I love to ski and want to keep doing it for decades to come. Hasn't anyone noticed how fucked up our weather system is getting? It rained in Colorado all summer...not a single day above 100. Here in Whistler, it quit raining all summer. Flip flopped? More like fucked up. Studies have shown that all the glaciers in Europe will be gone by 2080. So much for skiing there. So much for places like Snow Bowl, Big Bear, Mammoth, Durango Mtn, and any other resort that isn't in the artic circle. Soon it will be raining more than snowing and powder days will be something that Grandpa used to talk about.

If you ski, vote for Kerry. Sure he's no Nader, but at least he's not a war-monger, selfish, Kyoto protocol rejecting, fossil fuel-peddling, biggot cowboy like Bush is. Hopefully in 2008 we can get a real president who gives two shits about skiing, National Forests, clean water, and the rest of the world outside of DC and TX.
