it seems there prices are going up every year, i get nfa or sessions stuff instead, which i found is wayy cheaper. i mean my budday got this allright jacket for like 550 on sale, thats crazy

the goggles kick ass, but i still dunno if i'd trust a sun glasses company with my clothes. for now i'll be stickin to HH or SpecialBlend (even though its boarder clothes).

 
^oakley appareal is sooooo much better than that other shit you mentioned, i would take any oakley anything over any HH anyday.

if you're talking goggles n sunnies, then it might be cos they engineer them to have minimal visual distortion compared to the other manufacturers out there. and they seem to use lots of lenses as target practice too. thats gotta be expensive.

i think its because they produce the best of everything they make.

oakley makes hockey gloves to, and believe it or not their the sickest gloves on the market right now.

they engineer and redesign equipment over and over to make it perfect, and all that research cost adds up. thats why they gotta sell it so high. but your getting what you pay for.

i have the half jackets and they are by far the best sunglasses ive ever owned. i really liked my Spys until i brok them, but these own all. i have a couple other oakley items and they all are great

And all you guys that are gonna pull the 'support ski companies' crap, then go out an buy race gear, or you probably dropped your money on Oakley, the most corporate, low quality shit out there, so eat it. If real ski companies can come out with decent gear that will last, I might buy it...but Oakley...heh, stick with goggles and shades.

It's expensive because they spend so much money on advertising and marketing research and marketing - which is why they are still able to sell it for so much. IT's good stuff, but really you are paying a premium for the 'cool factor' which was created in some gay-ass marketing boardroom and fueled by many millions of dollars.
