Why is my song beeping when import it into final cut

i import a song and when i drag is to my timeline the song doesnt play it just beeps forever

is it an issue of the format your using? I don't know final cut all that well.

you have to render the song first when you drag it into your movie sequence. look under the sequence toolbar
