Why is it that jon fakie misty 9ed chads but got no props for it?

I almost shat my pants when I saw Jon go off that in the TBC extra's, he definitely deserves some recognition, huge ass trick.
 
thats the whole point of this thread.. soo much sicker than tanners fakie 9, a fakie misty going that fast and having to actually pop backwards not just rollyour shoulder into the fakie rodeo like tanner did , soo tech .. and the leading toxic to go with it soo sick jons the fukin man this is like the most tech trick ever thrown over a big gap
 
judging from the angle of where he lands im assuming he landed that .. maybe im wrong, but he looks like hes coming into the landing in the perfect postion and why would head use that footage if he didnt land it?
 
Do any of you know how pro movies work? You have to not only stomp perfect but it has to be like perfect grab/trick etc. Pretty sure he didn't land or else that would have been in TBC.

Personally I think they should have put Jon's 9 in the bonus or credits. In the crash section for all I care, it's such a sick trick I'd want to see it even though he didn't land properly.

 
he did get the grab perfectly there, just aparently didnt get the best landing... still an unbelievable trick. and should have been shown somewhere.

Acctually judging by that angle I'd say he landed backseat on his ass.

Still incredibly sick and would have still been used in any movie if it wasn't TBC
 
could it possibly be becasue tanner like killed himself? so everyone wanted to see clips of tanner on chads gap and what he actually landed and shit?

so like tons of chads gap hype was built up around tanner.

I to have never seen that clip. very sick switch 1 in beginning. those do it for me
 
He probably landed a switch 180. His switch 9's were fucking amazing in the air. He just never landed one clean. He had just one where he barely landed all sketchy and then fell in the outrun. It was amazing in the air, just not there in the landing. Jon probably made the call himself to not put it in the movie, based on the landings. As for the switch 180, as sick as it is to do a switch 180 over Chad's Gap, it just doesn't stack up to the stuff Tanner did over it. Jon's switch 9, if he had landed, would have been the best trick of the session. But a switch 180 would just look a little silly next to T's switch 5 and switch 9.
