why is candide so stylie?

styliest and most innovative? don't think so! before last year's x-games he wasn't really even in the spotlight. thanks to salomon's manufacturers and techs, he won x-games superpipe on special pipe specific skis that none of us will ever get to ride and he had the techs work on the skis like mad before his runs! i give him absolutely no respect because if pep or jon or anyone else's sponsors were puttin that kind of money in to guarantee a win im pretty damn sure they would have won!

i do agree that if the others had 'super' skis then they would definatly have givin him more of a run for his money. But to put his win souly on his skis, i think, is wrong. You have to have an extreme degree of talent to boost that high confidently and throw some of the things that guy throws. Im sure this year the other will probably have some surprises for him as well..

candide makes everything look like it 'weren't no thing', and I think that all you who feel he isn't stylie focus too much on the style of his 120 ft. airs, and not anything else, and y'all need to appreciate the tweak. given there are some things he could focus on that he doesn't (urban rails, backcountry booters)

pipe munky, you are a fucking retard. do you really think that skis played a significant role in candide's pipe victory? furthermore, just because candide did not win the x-games last year does not mean he was not in the spotlight. last year, he podiumed at the wsi, and it was without the skis that you think are so magical. he did a cork 5 (48 feet off of the ground) over a jump that no pro could clear. when he was sixteen, he was doing rodeos that we would even call stylie now. watch 13. of all the segments in that movie, his has the most shots that would make it into a ski movie today. he did a d-spin 7 over chad's gap years ago. furthermore, he was the first to clear chad's gap and land (maybe it should be called candide's gap). anyway, how does being 'in the spotlight' have anything to do with skiing ability?

forget about style, that is a personal opinion. the fact is candide is one of the best if not the best. CR johnson is also one of the best. Both are insane skiers. Both would still boost the highest out of the pipe with normal skis. Just maybe not as high as they were going with their special pipe skis.

hmmmmmm, Did i Read u think Anthony B. Has no style? Strange, really strange. I think maybe the armada team would use someone better as an amature if he was so unstyli. I think its insain that he is listed as a amature skier just to show how good u have to be to be a pro armada rider. Mad props to Anthony for kicking ass and being better than alot of Pro skiers.

I also like the points one of u made about hating on someone if he's better than you, not cool.

The kid has balls. The style is of his own, just like anybody elses. I honestly don't think you can bash someone on style because it's something that can't necessarily be defined. Everyone is different and thats what makes style so appealing to those of us that watch. Yeah I guess you can bash on the 12 year old kid throwin' pencil 7's or something but as for the pros, style is their twist on the sport, something of their own.

 
and if you are saying anthony is unstylie cause of his segment in session 1242...listen to the director comentary on his segment. jeohnny says that pretty much every trick in his seg was unatural. he may be a little sketchy at times but dear god he is not unstylie
