Why I Love K2...

Rewind to late Feb. Im riding my first gen Public Enemies and just dinking around in the park on some mini ramp feature that Waterville had set up. I wrap up and toss my skis in the rack only to notice that one of the tails is snapped right behind the binding. Oh well I figure, it was bound to happen sooner or later...afterall the skis have 3 seasons on them.

So I go into work (at a ski shop) and figure, what the hell, I'll send them in and let K2 have a look at them. If anything, they might get a kick out of the camo paint job and the 4 sets of holes drilled in one ski (original shop messed up when mounting, never told me). So I call, get an RA and send them off.

Fast forward to today. I havent worked at the shop in about a month since the season wrapped up. I go in the back and there is a box from K2 with my name on it. I open it up expecting to find the old Publics mailed back. Instead is a brand new pair of next years Publics. Im pretty stoked on K2 for replacing a 3 season old pair of skis. They could have easily just sent them back.

If anyone from the company reads this thanks a ton K2!

That's awesome. K2 is sick. they offer great skis at really good prices. My first generation publics are still going strong after a few season of abuse.

a long time ago i had a pair of K2 stuntman, and broke those and they replaced them with the first enemies. i proceeded to break two pair of those which they replaced. they are a good company except I was on vashon and went to the factory to exchnge pair number 2 of the enemies and they made me mail them in when i was standing in the lobby with my skiis, so i had to come back to colorado and ship them from the shop where i got them. but other than that they stand by their shit.

i have 4frnt's right now, but i kind of want to go back to k2 coz their fucking up on me and the maiden ak's a fucking sick!!!

i love K2 i cracked an edge in my publics last year, i sent them away and got a new pair back in 2 weeks.

iv been riding my pistols for years now and they still ride really well, they have had a realy hard life going to europe with me every year, they just wont give up.

haha

thats sick

The same happened to *thamovment* he broke his first gen pe's on a waterjump last year and recieved a new pair

In all my experience with K2 and their reps, they rock. At all the trade shows, they always have a killer booth and tons of stuff for the shop guys. They are always super happy, and nice to anyone.

I forget his name, but at the Manchester NEWSE (New England Winter Sports Expo - a show for all of next years stuff) I was just shoting the shit with one of the younger K2 reps (looked kinda like Brad Holmes). He whips open his laptop and starts showing me pictures he took from some of the company parties. WHen they had the KTO thing going last year, they actually had a Toga Party. He was showing me all these pics of the president of the company wasted and making silly faces. He also was talking about Schmies and how he showed him all the real life sketches for the Public. Its actually all done on one piece of paper and then divided.

I guess the point of this is that I havent seen a company so far, that is as big as K2, yet still takes care of all the people that support them. They know where they would be if they werent such a chill bunch of people.

k2 is dope. our midwest rep gave me a pair of seth pistols 2 seasons ago, and gave me a pair of made'ns this past season. i love both pairs of skis, and i love the rep. free skis are soooo hot right now!

woah mine did the exact same thing but i never thought they would warranty that...guess ill have to try, sweeeeeet!

i think this should be stickied.

here are my reasons.

everyboyd is saying they want to buy k2. if everybody wants to buy them, other companies will decided they will also put the costumer first. that way we the skiers wont get ripped.

Why are ski companies only loved AFTER their products break and they're given another pair of skis?

Something doesn't seem right about that...

why aren't there ever thread like "my skis do not break. these are sick and not pieces at all."

Just a thought.

i love K2 more than you
