Why I hate New Yorkers....

there are ignorant people everywhere, and there are intelligent people everywhere. you just got stuck with the idiots from NY doing the typical colorado ski vacation.
 
Haha i totally agree with the NYC description. Im from upstate New York and i hate New York City and everyone in it, people from down there are just flat out dumb. Personally i hate the whole state. If you need reasons just ask i could go on all day. LOL

I assume you are talking about people from the city. That's still a very broad generalization, though we are known for being pretty short tempered.

Most new yorkers don't like beating around the bush, business is business. The Italian immigrant families are very popular for this. Even the third or fourth generation Italians are edgy.

i dont really care about my karma, i think its funny that people care enough to penalize me internet points cuz of how i feel about new yorkers. i was being sarcastic, thats why i was like "wahh". oh well. whatever. I did what i intended to do, piss off a bunch of the people who piss me off every time they vactation here.

and hey if any of you guys are interested we just got our new shipment of toni sailor and prada skiwear. its designer so it performs better.

Speaking of stereotypes, I work at a parking lot in Maine and 75% of the customers are from Quebec. Not making any assumptions....

But seriously most of them are pretty dumb. I had a small lamp on my table and one of them asked what it was. It's a fucking lamp.

Dont be mad because you can't handle the NY lifestyle. Been living here my whole life just outside the city...and its all business here. We dont like to wait why? because who the fuck does want to wait. Everyone here wants shit now and has lots to do all the time. It clearly shows because of how powerful ny has become compared to other cities. NY takes a dump on all cities. Financial powerhouse of the world.

I can understand where youre coming from, not all new yorkers are that way but some are and the people you met were like that...so yeah i like how everyone freaked out at how he was being "stereotypical"
 
I think city people in general are more assholish than smaller town people. Like i will usually try to say hi to anybody i pass on the street and shit. DISCLAIMER: I realize that some city people are super nice to i am just making generalizations
 
haha look at all the people in this thread getting butt hurt because a kid called out new yorkers. tehe. I lived in western conn. for five years. I was 45 min out of NYC and visited many times. Most people that lived in my neighborhood, and my town, and the towns around my town, commuted there. And guess what? They all fit the description OP has made. Selfish, rude, keepingupwiththejoneses-ish, ect. And honestly, NYC is cool...to visit...occasionally...but jesus, to live there would fucking suck.

 
the new yorkers in this thread must not really be from new york or something, any time you hate on a real new yorker they say something obnoxious (possibly mentioning their new york state of mind) and let it roll off their back
 
Y'all ain't seen nothin' until you see Massachusetts drivers.. my god are they awful. This is one stereotype that I firmly believe in. Every single time someone is driving like a retard or is going 110 on the highway you just take a look at their license plate, and surely enough, Massachusetts.
 
this, i lived in new york for 16 years and just barely visited nyc for the first time. its just way too fast paced, its an environment that encourages impatience, cockiness, and a very blunt attitude. you have to be on your shit to get ahead in new york, so they don't put up with much

but where i used to live in ny, 7 hours from nyc, things are a bit more chilled out and thats how i like it.
 
There is a big differnce between the people in bronx and the people in Manhattan, hell there is a big difference between the people in soho and the people on the upper west side. NYC is a melting pot
