Why i hate jimmy buffet

i hate him because he is a bad artist but his music is cool. he does not sing at all and is boring. island music is nice and relaxing no need for a bad singer to put their 2 cents in to some music

the only song that i can think of that he actully sings in is that cheeseburger song but otherwise he is just talking

I've been listening to jimmy buffet on the way to the mountain on a friday night since I was 7. Been listening to him since even before that. He sings. He's not a great singer...but look at bob dylan, he sucked at singing and his music is amazing.

Jimmy's a great entertainer. Comedian, guitar player, and a huge party man all at the same time. I've heard every single one of his songs, and I can tell you for sure that he DOES sing.

OMG, LOVE IT! I love goin' down to the Keys and listening to Jimmy all the way down.
 
He makes happy, catchy music for middle-aged people to get stoked about, but I still think he's a sub-par musician. The lyrics are uninspired--even for singing about cheeseburgers and making several songs about the exact same thing. Then there's the music; again, weak and mundane. I really don't expect someone like him to be really great, but when people call him a good musician it gets to me. And it's not that I'm not into this type of music, it's just that I think he's waaaay overrated.
 
most popular musicians aren't that "good" its the fact that he can write music that is catchy and entertaining. look at bob dyllan or the ramones,
 
i like some of his songs, but what i hate about him is his fan base....i have a some condos in key west, and every time im down there, those fucking parrot heads are there getting plastered and screaming shit...fucking ignorant bastards
 
kid you only hate it because you watched south park and they hated him. which is not a legit excuse to hate something.
 
I highly recommend reading his book a Salty Piece of Land, I read that sitting on a beach in Panama, never been so inspired in my life
