They're a Whistler company not crashing in on anything. they sponsor skiers.

And for 900 dollars you should be able to choose the damn colors. I think that's cool.

Prior is not K2. They don't have the kind of capital to make a bunch of different skis in a ton of sizes yet. It's there first or second year making skis, even thought they've been making snowboards for awhile.

If you don't like it, then buy K2.

differant specks for differant skis, seems to me that most companys do this, they just dont label all the specks.

 
I think they are prolly pretty descent skis. but why buy something for 900 dollars when you can get a pair of fujatives for like 300. they can not be that good that it is worth spending 600 dollars more.

B-Yes, prior skis are expensive, but dammit, they're handmade, and nearly fully custom skis(the real concept behind prior seems to be mass-customization, read up on it)

C-Different dimensions for different sizes=nearly constant turning radius, so that smaller people aren't penalized for having to ride a shorter ski by having a fucked up turning radius. Try riding a 151 cm 1080, you'll see what I mean immediately. Oh, other companies that do the same thing with their dimensions include Armada and 4frnt.

C-Priors are, in my opinion, one of the better looking skis on the market.

D-You're from Ontario, and you're an idiot, meaning that your opinion can pretty much automatically be dismissed worthless. Yes, I can back that up, I used to live there. Just cashing in? theyre made in a small factory in whistler, by hand. 900 bucks, because theyre hand made here in canada specificaly for your order. and the graphics, well, he does custom graphics on the snowboards.

Hey dude I think you should be happy to see a new company like Prior that is independently owned start up. This shows that there is actual growth in the industry, who cares about the graphics and the fact they don't fit you. Have you been on there web site or actually seen a pair in real life? There great skis and who cares if the graphic isn't up to you standard. After all is that what makes a ski these days? or is it the way it's built. Prior has spent countless days testing these skis in unimaginable conditions so people like you can enjoy the sport on a quality product and have another company to by skis from. Hey If this still doesn't help your decision process as to what makes a great ski maybe next time your in Whisler you'll stop into the factory and see the way there made. The tour is free and they now there shit. And for your info there isn't a bad ski out there, it is jsut buyer preference that's all so please consider what you have just read. Thank you. Keep our industry strong and promote small companies who make amazing products like the Liberty's, Priors and Zags .... The list goes on and on . But really just think before you speak. thanks

i tested one the their skis that season and they were super sick skis, but this was still when they were desining the skis so i dont know they're like now, but i think they will be super sick

i think that prior skis looks so dope. i'd get a red and white one. With the crazy beaver on it, that's the most canadian ski EVER. Different specs per length is a good thing, but i think they go pretty extreme though. from an 87 to 102 waist. In the end though, i'd def. get one... scratch that, i'd drive down to whistler, demo one, THEN buy one.

you know..I golfed with the guy who owns and started Prior, and he was really stoked on the new skis they were producing. He didn't know I was a skier and it was all he could talk about. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather support a company that was totally stoked on their product over a company that is just in it for the profit.

My dad owns a few Prior boards and THEY MAKE QUALITY BOARDS, so i am sure their skis will be amazing.

Also spending more time on developing the ski is prolly better than putting time into designing the topsheets. If you dont like them white, then paint them.

they make awesome snowboards... ive never heard one person complain about their snowboards... theyre custom, hand made boards made right in whistler where they test em every freakin day on the hill... in every contdition... their skis are gonna have that same attention which is why they took 2 years to develop.. and its a lion... get over it.. the graphics... well they dont look cool so u wont ride em? they look sick in person not that it matters if ur ripping along at 80kph anyhow. the only time someone sees what ur riding is in the lift line (posers). theyre a bit expensive but thats what u get the first year a company that hand makes its skis with quality parts not just throws some shit together with a cool looking graphic so kids like urself will buy it.

i skied on their skis for the last two seasons, and they are quality hand built masterpieces. take a look at the dynastar legend at $1300 or so...in my opinion the 189 that i got CUSTOM made with my dimensions and hand delivered to my door at 8am by the man himself 3 days later, was equally good if not better than most of the big mountain skis i have been on...They are lightweight, durable and incredibly stable. Go try the new ones and you will see. This kind of stuff only helps our industry, so dont knock it. Chris Prior is on the right track.

the reason i dont like different side cuts for different lengths is because if i wanted a mid fat ski it would have to be 165cm and if i wanted a super fat i would have to get a 193, so if your really tall or really short your stuck
